School Indoctrination? Where? Cult of Personality? No way!

This was filmed around June 19, 2009 at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ.

Lyrics (some unintelligible noted – if you can understand them help fill in the “something-somethings:)):

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand [?]
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said Red, Yellow, Black or White
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama

  • You just knew that some overzealous nutjob was going to do something like this. Please tell me that the local school board did more than just shrug its shoulders?

  • Well, what do you expect them to do, it’s not like anyone else is singing his praises anymore…

Even the media is starting to sour on him.

  • What in the name of $#**%)@! hell has become of this nation? When did we allow teachers to do this kind of thing to children? I got a bad enough dose of Marxist horsecrappola when I was in college, but children? And young children at that?

Does anyone know what SCHOOL THIS IS? This teacher should be identified and then FIRED. Fired now. And any school board that doesn’t fire this teacher immediately should all be arrested and locked away. If that was my kid, there would be one fugging angry parent in that school right now demanding answers. I don’t think that these parents sent their kids to school to become little Kim Jong-Illness recruits, only substitute “Obama” for Kim Jong-Il.

  • Obligatory “hypocrisy” note:

If this had been done with Bush as the subject instead of Obama, every leftist from here to Berkeley would be shouting about it, and it would come up in every comment they make about Bush for the rest of their lives. “He’s teaching our children to worship Republicans! He’s evil!”

  • This must be out of context or something, my lord i hope this is like a parody or joke or i dunno, im dumbfounded. This is exactly the kind of crap you get in North Korea, not the USA. What pea brain teacher thought this was totally cool?

  • Cue Erb telling us “I don’t see what the problem is here. You didn’t complain when school children serenaded Bush!”

  • I suspect Erb has his students sing this as well.

  • “When Der Fuhrer says ve is dee master race,
ve Heil! Heil! right in der Fuhrer’s face,
not to love Der Furher is a great disgrace,
so ve heil, hiel, right in Der Fuhrer’s face…”

Oh, my bad, different song. So silly!

Surely we all recognize the phrase “Barack Hussein Obama” has so much better rythm and meter than “George W Bush” did. That’s completely the uh, reason, uh, why, uh, we didn’t have poems like this about GW!
Yeah, really it is! So stop saying it isn’t!

    • LOL! I see I’m not the only one with a taste for classic cartoons!

Give a lib a stroke: show ’em the end of the cartoon, when Donald, clad in star-spangled PJ’s, wakes from his nightmare and rushes to hug a little Statue of Liberty while saying, “I’m very, very happy to be a citizen of the United States of America!”

  • Some of the lyrics are unintelligible because they are being sung in Korean.

  • “Barack Hussein Obama”

    …it rolls off the tongue…

    almost like…

    “Wiley Coyote, SU-PER GENIUS!”

  • Wow, I’m flattered so many of you have me on your mind.

While one school does not a trend make, I do think that’s completely out of line. And the concerns your raise are valid. In my own blog today I essentially argue that the modern sovereign state is failing — the institution of the modern state, not any one in particular, is obsolete. Leader worship is one direction things can go. Hopefully, it won’t, be it Bush or Obama or anyone else!

    • “Wow, I’m flattered so many of you have me on your mind.”

That’s like the bearded lady in a carnival sideshow being flattered by people visiting her tent.

      • Exactly. I’ve postulated before that Erb is just like the kid that keeps hanging around the other kids who constantly tease him out of a perverse need for the attention. There’s one in every grade level. That kid trains himself to think he’s popular with the others and completely ignores the fact that he’s really their bitch.

        • To quote one of my favorite movie lines:

“The world is made for those not cursed with self-awareness.”

          • There is absolute delightful irony in that statement. You guys don’t even realize what you’re doing, it’s hilarious!

          • Oooo — Erb reaches for the “I’m rubber, you’re glue” gambit. Well played, sir. Well played. What will he use next? I predict the classic “Am not, Infinity!” maneuver.

    • Scott, it’s the left that’s prone to leader worship.

Frankly, Scott I see you as one of the two enigmas who post here regularly. It is clear that you are smart, but you often post vauge generalities that are far from impressive. And then you shoot a huge hole in your credability with attacks on Palin or defense of Carter or Kerry post 2004.

I can understand the left defending Kerry in 2004, but it is downright stupid to destroy one’s credability defending him several years later.

      • “It is clear that you are smart,”

Well, I would rate him a high school graduate with college sophomore level understanding pretty much across the board. And I’m not kidding.

That’s before you get to the real questions about him.

        • I recall him posting some fairly intelligent things in the distant past. But if I read them again I might not come to the same conclusion.

The thing is, muot of his arguments are rather lame handwaving without much specifics. “Europe is doing just fine, but the US is in decline”. Right, countries like Germany should have higher per captia GDPs, and they don’t. And they can afford their socialism only because the US military protects them and US capitalism does the necessary R&D.

          • Oh, please, have the US stop protecting Germany and the Europeans. I support leaving NATO. Let them defend themselves. I think you’ll quickly see that they won’t have to sacrifice their wealth and welfare system. Their biggest enemy is demographics — the aging of their society.

      • Don, leader worship happens often in history, left, right and usually in areas not covered by our own usual ideologies. It’s cute how one side seems to think the other side does all the bad stuff (and how the left defines Stalin as a right wing fascist, while the right tries to define Hitler as a left wing socialist). I mean, the kind of “our side can do no wrong, the other side is always wrong” mentality is so over the top it seems almost a pathology.

        • Yes, Scott, of course, and everyone understands, naturally, that your two boiled down foundational positions — anti-Americanism and socialism — are normative.

P.S.: Hitler was certainly a socialist, in more than just the name of his National Socialist party. And his nationalism was different from, say, Ho Chi Minh’s, how? Aside from the ponderous fact that Ho was a client of both the Soviets and Mao.

(People with some experience arguing these points will know the familiar Lefty dodge that Hitler wasn’t a socialist because he was a nationalist while in the other room you’ll be told that Ho wasn’t part of any Soviet international Communist push because he was a nationalist.)

    • “While one school does not a trend make,”

One? Did you conveniently miss the earlier reports?

Remember, too, that these are just the ones that got CAUGHT.

  • From “raw data” at the Fox News site–full lyrics:

    Song 1:
    Mm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
    Equal work means equal pay
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

    Mmm, mmm, mm
    Barack Hussein Obama

    Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”

Hooray, Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country’s economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue —- Mr. President we know you’ll do the trick
    So here’s a hearty hip-hooray —-

    Hip, hip hooray!
    Hip, hip hooray!
    Hip, hip hooray!

  • There is no person connected to that video that should not be fired and run out of town on a rail…

    • Good point, forgotten in the plain dismay of even seeing something like that. The camera operator could be perfectly innocent, just dragged in to make the tape or happened to be there to record it.

The teacher who organized it should go, pronto. But I would bet it’s not going to happen like that, or at all.

  • If I see an Orwellian conspiracy in every utterance of the left, it might not be because I am paranoid. Things like this sure do nothing to reassure me.

    • Take it at face value. The “Orwellian conspiracy” is a long term project. Try Daniel Flynn’s “A Conservative History of the American Left” for a big picture look at how this mess developed from the early-mid 19th Century onward. For the relationship of Progressives to European Fascists try Jonah Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism.”

The predicates for all of this, from the school kids chanting the Obama song to the incessant lying about everything — essentially the inversion of reality itself — were laid in a long time ago.

It usually just festers in the Left’s back alleys and on the back benches of the Democratic caucus in both houses of Congress, but the vitality of this particular moment of boiling over the top can be traced to the “antiwar” movement that rose against Bush and Iraq.

That came from the absolute basement of the Left, the ANSWER coalition, which was then a front for the Workers World Party, a fringe outfit enamored of — steady yourself — Kim Jong Il.

That frothed up below the political horizon line until that screeching idiot Howard Dean brought it into the mainstream of the Democratic Party in 2004, forcing Kerry to cow-tow to it (not that he had any serious problems with it, having once been part of it himself) and opening the door for this Obama character from the nutty Marxist enclaves of “black theology” in Chicago.

It’s as if Soviet sympathizer Henry Wallace had succeeded Roosevelt instead of Harry Truman, who replaced Wallace on the ticket for the ’44 election. We’ve been lucky in the past, and dodged a lot of bullets. Dodged Dukakis and Gore and Kerry. This time we took one in the chest.

  • I thought using Baracky’s middle name was racist?

  • Next up: liberals hold contests for schoolkids to come up with new titles for TAO!

  • Kim Jong Il called. He said Geez, Obama, show some class.
