But not until AFTER the election …

That’s when, if he wins, Obama promises to be “more flexible”:

The Obama administration is weighing the release of blind Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman — the spiritual adviser to the 1993 World Trade Center bombers — in a stunning goodwill gesture toward Egypt that has touched off a political firestorm, officials said yesterday.

The Egyptian government “asked for his release,” an administration source told The Post — and Rep. Peter King (R-LI) confirmed the request is being considered.

The White House, State Department and Justice Department each issued statements denying any deal is in the works, but, “There’s no way to believe anything they say,” said Andrew McCarthy, the former assistant US attorney who prosecuted Abdel-Rahman. “I believe there may already be a nod-and-wink agreement in place.” Abdel-Rahman, 74, was convicted in 1995 of plotting terror attacks throughout the city and is locked away in the medical wing of the Butner Federal Correctional Institution in North Carolina.

That would rock the house, wouldn’t it?  Wonder what the Egyptians are promising … not to attack the Embassy anymore?  Or to at least try to protect it?

This crew in the White House really needs to go home in a few months.

  • That should scare anyone who has ANY sense of self-preservation SHITeLESS…
the idea of a MORE flexible Obama.  Where flexible means even LESS constrained.

    • “We (He) can’t wait” dontchaknow, and I can’t wait until he’s not President any more.   This man has truly made me weary, like no President I recall (including James Earl Carter).

      • You are more durable than I.  Ball-less Bill Clinton had me weary.  I was SO pleased to see some class back in the WH after that squalid show.

  • Trying to create another “ally of sorts” character to appease the country that isn’t our ally but isn’t our enemy?

  • Can anyone think of a more unpopular thing Obama could do?  Don’t get me wrong, Obama is a bad president, but releasing him would be about the dumbest thing he could do.  It doesn’t pass the sniff test.

Oh, hell…  I gave up a LONG time ago trying to think of things Pres. Flexible would NOT do…

      • Apologizing for the US is not anything new or different for the Dems.  It is just them being naive in their world view.
Releasing a convicted terrorist would be well over the line.  It would practically be treason.

        • How about actively suppressing the 1st Amendment?  How about fingering a private citizen you KNOW Islamists would love to have starring in snuff-porn?  How about telling an adversary to be patient until he can be more “flexible”?  How ’bout…
          Well, you get the drift.

        • I was with you until you started acting like nearly treasonous acts weren’t damn near the norm for this administration.

          • I get that.  Maybe they are that dumb.  But even they would have to know the shit storm that would ensue if they cut loose a convicted terrorist leader.

      • To be fair, Bush had Muslim outreach ads as well, but it was more generalized and featured the religious rights of Muslims in America, aka basic American values.
What these ads are doing is stupid and looks desperate. They must feel there will be multiple embassy take-overs heading into the election to run these ads.
We talk about swing voters in domestic politics as being maybe 20% of the population. Well, swing opinion on America in Pakistan is going to be much smaller and much USELESS to get. OK, you’be convinced a few people that they should egg on the idiots. So what?
And one big factor in these countries is that opposition to these positions can result in death for yourself, so you keep any pro-US opinion pretty close to the cuff.
Libya is far different since we actually just helped them.

        • To be fair Bush’s administration released the guy who supposedly helped kill the Ambassador.  With that fresh in our minds, you’d think the idea of letting the giant guilty murdering fish go would sorta be out of the question.

    • But in all honesty man, if he does it, the general public won’t know – they’re supposed to be paying attention to Romney’s ‘gaffes’ and his old tax returns.

Besides, Barack is just so darn likeable.  I’m not sure WHY, but must be so, the polls repeat it every day.

      • It would be sold as an act of plain old humanitarianism…compassion for the puuuuuurrrr old terrorist monster.  “Whi, shoot, he won’t last ten minutes, anyhow.  He is going to Egypt to croak, and his great-grand kiddies will make sure that nobody has any bombs er nutin…

  • Univision Host Jorge Ramos soon to be under FBI/DOJ/ICE/EPA/DHS and FDA investigation, News at 10:00.
“However, much of the time in front of the Spanish-language audience here was spent on Obama’s failure to get comprehensive immigration reform — something that Obama attributed to focusing instead on the economy and blaming Republicans in Congress.

But to host Jorge Ramos, that answer was not good enough.

“You promised that, and a promise is a promise,” Ramos told Obama. “And with all due respect, you didn’t keep that promise.”

Did Ramos (if that’s his REAL name) sneak into the United States?
Were his parents really from Russia?
How many dogs does he own, and does his HOA allow THAT many dogs?
Is he REALLY Hispanic?  Does he REALLY speak Spanish?
Or was he, as our sources tell us, really baptized under the name Roger Dunkin Worthington in Passaic, New Jersey?

  • in a stunning goodwill gesture toward Egypt >>>>  Pray tell, exactly what “goodwill” do WE need to cultivate? After what happened, it should be the other way around. If this cretin wins, I won’t feel bad about what happens next

  • Everyone says how the left is naive in regards to Islamic radicals, and they just don’t understand them etc.  I do not believe that. It is really this simple. The left HATE this nation, they HATE and loath nearly everything about our culture. They hate personal independence, they hate Judeo-christian morality, they hate free markets, they hate our culture, our history, and they laugh at all the people living in flyover country.

SO that is the reason they side with our other enemies. Simple as that.

  • Two words to keep in mind: Huma Weiner.
Lil’ Miss Muslim Bro’hood, and Hill-larry’s girl.

    • Maybe the Bro’hood doesn’t realize that if they’d leave Baracky alone he’d be doin the Prophet’s work.  Problem is that won’t guarantee them their power locally, and as we know nature abhors a vacuum and they’re moving to fill it with or without Barack.

I mean after all, he COULD lose this election even with the press so actively pretending the rest of the world is having a party outside while those sadistic Republican step-mothers are stopping Daddy Barack from letting us all go.

  • “If you want to know who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.”

    – Voltaire (or maybe not, but it’s still a marvelous, and spot-on, bit of phrasing, whoever said it. Maybe Chesterton…).

Well, we know who rules over Obamic foreign policy…  Oh, and the Obama version of the 1st Amendment.
A question I have: now that Obama’s foreign policy has collapsed, who will be the scape-goat he uses?

    • It’s Bush’s fault.  His imperial presidency policies combined with cowboy diplomacy made for a bad situation that Obama inherited.
