But Mr. Obama and his team would benefit, as they begin the second term, by acknowledging that many of the biggest problems facing the administration flow directly from the man at the top. Mr. Obama is a lousy manager. As chief executive he gets a C — and then only if graded on a curve that takes into account his predecessor’s managerial weaknesses.

.. 4 & 1/2 years as campaigner-in-chief and Obama still has no effective executive experience.

  • During one online exchange, he mocked George W. Bush’s baldfaced admission that he didn’t read the New York Times.
“Surely you know,” I responded, “that the President of the United States receives a morning briefing package that contains information the New York Times can only dream of getting its hands on?”
    I don’t recall the blogger’s reply.

In any event, I keep thinking of that exchange whenever I hear Obama’s “I read about it in the newspapers just like you did” “explanation” for his ignorance of this latest (that we know of) IRS mischief.
If the President is telling the truth, he’s a fool. (Your leader still wastes precious time perusing warmed-over “news” from dubious, biased sources?
    If he’s lying, then… he’s lying.

  • One thing we can be certain about from that picture – there’s either a golf ball or a fund raiser in that hole the bird’s head is stuck in.

  • “They took ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ out of the Pentagon and moved it into the White House.

    • That Leno, if he keeps it up, he’s going to have to have an audit, or a refusal for a transplant.   I wonder if he’s a Verizon customer.
