  • I would say on the authoritarian front, people don’t think about it that deeply. If anything with neither party claiming ownership of Trump and circling the wagons and turning into the Republican Democrat football game, may be the silver lining in Trump authoritarianism.

    There is a large segment who feel they haven’t been a factor in politics in decades. Democrats don’t want them, Republicans have take them for granted. Its a Democrat talking point to broad brush those people asserting themselves as full of ‘hate’ and broad brush them with white supremacists. They are angry and frustrated but its not the same thing. So they’re going to grab the first thing that comes their

    I’m reminded of the Architect’s speech int the Matrix.

    “[Trump] is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of the matrix. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. ”

    If you neglect/supress a segment in a Democracy for a long period of time, expect things to go out of whack.
