Irony

Yes there are still people in this world that just don’t get it.  The irony, of course, is their target:

A Spanish lawyer has formally accused Barack Obama of crimes against humanity for ordering the assassination of Osama bin Laden.

Apparently “lawfare” was how this should have been prosecuted:

Daniel Fiol lodged a written complaint at the International Criminal Court accusing the US president of breaching the Geneva Convention.

[…]

In his written complaint, the Majorca-based lawyer said bin Laden should have been "pursued, arrested, tried and convicted" on behalf of "the victims of some terrible and appalling atrocities". The killing of bin Laden was even worse as it took place in foreign territory, Pakistan, without the permission of that government, he said.

So here we are with another “ war criminal president” on our hands.  How does it feel, lefties, to have your agent for “hope and change” accused of being a “war criminal?”

  • I was browsing The Atlantic last night and I can say that for many Lefies, this plain and simple isn’t the President they elected.  Some even go as far as to say that he has been replaced with a look-a-like or something by the folks at the Pentagon.  The “fringe” lives.

I have to say, that was about the funniest image and caption I’ve seen in a long time.  And so apt.

  • I vigorously endorse this gentleman’s complaint, and I hope the next time the murderer in chief sets foot abroad, he’s subject to arrest and trial at the Hague.

If it was legit when Bush was a “war criminal” it must be legit now that our Godling is the one with blood on his hands.

  • Did White House Snub Fraud Fighter?
The CEO of IBM offered the Obama administration a free software program that would have cut Medicare and Medicaid fraud by almost a trillion dollars, but he was turned down – twice.

  • These accusations are about as fitting as giving Obama the Noble Peace Prize.

  • Can’t wait for Erb to show up and explain why it’s all different now that Obama’s in control.

  • So, will the Belgians issue an arrest warrant?  And can we expect some bold, cutting-edge filmmaker to recieve rave reviews for his film “The Assassination of Barack Obama”?  Maybe Michael Moore can make an award-winning film about this, too.

For the record, even if the Belgies (or anybody else) issued a warrant against our president, I’d be in favor of making it unmistakably – even PAINFULLY – clear that we will not tolerate that bullsh*t.  I also would regard any film, book, play, etc. about the murder of Obama to be as repugnant as I found such about Bush to be.  I certainly want Captain Bullsh*t out of office, but he is the President of the United States (God help us) and a human being who doesn’t deserve that kind of crap.

  • I’m as left as the day is long, but I always said that if anyone in the EU tried to arrest anyone from the Bush administration or the US military, we should immediately storm the Hague.

  • Well, the bad news for the Europeans is that they have exhausted their air force, navy, and ammo stock in Libya.

I believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States. You watch television and see what’s going on on this debt ceiling issue. And what I consider to be a total lack of leadership from the President and nothing’s going to get fixed until the President himself steps up and wrangles both parties in Congress. But everybody is so political, so focused on holding their job for the next year that the discussion in Washington is nauseating.
And I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it and I could spend the next 3 hours giving you examples of all of us in this market place that are frightened to death about all the new regulations, our healthcare costs escalate, regulations coming from left and right. A President that seems, that keeps using that word redistribution. Well, my customers and the companies that provide the vitality for the hospitality and restaurant industry, in the United States of America, they are frightened of this administration. And it makes you slow down and not invest your money. Everybody complains about how much money is on the side in America.

    Wow! Just wow!

Probably not too much different than what you felt when Europeans accused Bush as being a war criminal.  Indifference.

Question is, how do you feel about it?
If, as I suspect, the feeling is indifference, then you feel the same as lefties do.  Remember, this isn’t a story about torture or any other controversial subject.  This is about killing OBL.  Something everyone in this country left, right, or center could largely agree upon.
If your looking for hypocrisy, this isn’t the story to hang your hat on.  In fact, I can’t think of anyone being hypocritical regarding this story.

    FAIL.

Fitting that the new graphics of this blog hark back to a colonial time, seeing that the tactics here at QandO resemble that of the rank and file firing volleys from inaccurate muskets just hoping to hit something.

A bit of advice… “whites of their eyes.”

    Cheers.

    Court overturns conviction

What are they thinking?  This opens up all kinds of doors that should probably be left closed.
This kind of whackjob stuff can only happen in a California court.
