Gaddafi dead
Well apparently the Libyan revolution has bagged its bad guy:
Al Jazeera has acquired exclusive footage of the body of Muammar Gaddafi after he was killed in his hometown, Sirte.
Abdul Hakim Belhaj, an NTC military chief, said Gaddafi had died of his wounds after being captured near Sirte on Thursday.
The body of the former Libyan leader was taken to a location which is being kept secret for security reasons, an NTC official said.
"Gaddafi’s body is with our unit in a car and we are taking the body to a secret place for security reasons," Mohamed Abdel Kafi, an NTC official in the city of Misrata, told Reuters.
Earlier, Abdel Majid, another NTC official, said the toppled leader had been wounded in both legs.
A photograph taken on a mobile phone appeared to show Gaddafi heavily bloodied, but it was not possible to confirm the authenticity of the picture.
The news came shortly after the NTC captured Sirte, Gaddafi’s hometown, after weeks of fighting.
"Thank God they have caught this person. In one hour, Sirte was liberated," a fighter in the town said.
Now comes the hard part – keeping the “revolution” out of the “Islamic extremist” ditch.
Cue the Muslim Brotherhood …

Like Obama, Biden applauded the U.S. decision to seek broad international backing for the Libya mission.

Wow, think of the number of rapes and robberies we could have prevented if we’d given that $2 billion to the police and teachers of America Joe. So, really we may have lost many lives and there may have been many rapes – we can probably score this under Rapes and killings NOT prevented.
I won’t miss Khadafi, but these tools and their posturing make me ill.

Will Libya’s next gadfly be worst than the last? it seems Mideast power structure gravitates towards the most aggressive, iron-fisted, malevolent, tough guy. Must be something in the water.

So what now? Does Libya evolve into a country that is an asset to the world or fall into chaos and become another Afghanistan? Will it become a haven for terrorist and terror activity?

You are right Bruce and I wonder if any in this administration has a plan.
Look at how well this administration handled Honduras for your answer.
I guess all those Khadafi supporters taken prisoner by the forces of truth and justice can be released now. Oh, they all died fighting to the last bullet, you say? Just like ‘dafi? How convenient.
