About two years ago I got on a plane from Jo’burg to London. I happened to have seat 1A in business class and I was soon joined by a large well-dressed man who was trailed by some flunky who sat behind us. After exchanging pleadantries and discussing gold mining in Africa he started talking about his time as the ex-president of a small African nation. He mentioned that while waiting in the vip lounge for our flight that Mugabe had sailed through, given him a hug and was pleased to see his “brother”. My friend’s response? “He is no brother of mine”.
I admit, I didn’t recognize P.W. Botha, and had to have that one explained to me.
Now, I don’t care who your are…
