Quote of the Day: WTF edition

Henry Blodget of Business Insider entitles his anti-Romney piece:

Sorry, Mitt Romney, You Can’t Be Chairman, CEO, And President Of A Company And Not Be Responsible For What It Does…

Really?  Since when did that become true?

After all, according to our current President and the left, everything the last 4 years has been Bush’s fault.  Or ATMs.  Or tsunamis.  Or Europe.  Or …

Forward.

This is a retreaded story from a decade ago, and it was bullshit then.

    So you’re endorsing that viewpoint?

    • You’re new around here, huh?

Guess for your sake I should have included the /sarc tag.

      • tadcf says:

And for my sake.  It didn’t sound sarcastic to me (which I assume ‘/sarc tag’ stands for)—which I feel always contains a touch of irony.

  • Ragspierre says:

The part about lying to the SEC is absurd, since the SEC doesn’t require an owner to be the operational decision-maker (Romney delegated such responsibilities, as is his right).

    Absurd.

Remember it’s the lie that counts here – it doesn’t matter what the rules are or what the truth is.

What matters is the media portrayal of how Romney broke the rules or might have broken them or could have broken them if we lived in an alternate universe or could be breaking them even as we speak, we just don’t KNOW!!!!! And we won’t know (ever) because we really don’t WANT to know, we want to make people suspicious of him, that rich out of touch Mormon tax cheat!

They didn’t like that Romney channeled Reagan today and rolled out the guns and called Baracky a liar on the outsourcing meme.  They were kind of hoping for a guy like McCain who would accept the kicks in the balls quietly and politely like a gentleman.
      Â
      They’re already getting desperate :)

Coming from a guy who’s spent a fortune keeping his own history as murky as possible this is all pretty hilarious to me.

      • Ragspierre says:

Yeh.  The BIG claim about the guy who quit Bain to save the Olympics…
        versus the coke-head Pres. Chooms.
Dunno…seems like a messaging FAIL to me.

I love that quote – “I’m supposed to worry about what Romney did with his own money, and ignore what Obama is doing with MINE”.

… and the excuses keep coming …

Chris Rock: I mean, if I want to talk to him [Obama], I can call him. Dude, being the first black anything sucks.

  • the shark says:

Look at the bright side. The next black POTUS will actually have to be qualified.
