New claim is that the CIA guys only lit up targets with their machine gun lasers, and only to scare people away. They did have a target laser, too.
The claim also is the drones were not armed.
OK, assume this is true. Does anyone think they two guys who obviously went on their own to the consulate and found an overran compound and dead Americans, and then drove back through live fire is going to be pleased as punch to just use lasers to scare away people?
And it begs so many questions.
Also, we were “not authorized” to fly armed missions over Libya. If this is true, then no more interventions to save people being overrun by the brutal dictators. We bomb your enemy without permission but then you deny permission to over fly when our consulate is under attack?
