Administration has no idea who has or hasn’t paid for ObamaCare

You remember the post a couple of days ago when I broadly hinted that you shouldn’t believe a single statistic (or most of anything else) this administration proffers?

More proof.  You might recall a number of administration spokespersons and Democrat mouthpieces telling us that millions have enrolled and paid?

Yeah, not so fast:

An official from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services admitted at a House hearing today that no one knows how many people have actually paid for Obamacare coverage.

“So we don’t know at this point how many people have actually paid for coverage?” asked a member of Congress.

“That’s right,” the CMS official conceded.

Inept, incompetent and unfortunately, in charge.

  • Well, and we have evidence of people like Udall openly conniving to cook the books on ObamaDoggle.

But, really, does this surprise anyone?  I hope not.  They would have to be as ignorant of history and human nature, and as incapable of critical thought as our “better”, Erp.

  • But they hissed and did the pissy dance when it was suggested they be made to answer for their progress on numbers and fixes et al.   Burdensome and not funded!

The man of a million business and freedom destroying regulations has the balls to talk about something they should be made to do being burdensome.

  • Ah, as we long for the days of “smartest man in the room”.

Must be a small room, filled with idiots.

  • Who’s kidding who? They know those numbers, at least approximately. They’re just embarrassed by them. It’s easier to simply pretend they don’t know them than try to explain why they are so bad, so that’s what they do.

No one I talk to these days – family, friends, business colleagues – have any trust in government numbers or pronouncements anymore. No one. They *know* the numbers are being fudged or hidden. They know they won’t see anything concrete that makes the leftist welfare state look bad.

This erosion of trust is one of the pre-requisites for violent resistance to the government. These leftist clowns, with no more sense of history than their Airedale, don’t realize what they are risking. (Well, a few do, and feel like it’s worth the risk to be on top of the peons.)

    • They’re convinced that we’ll all continue to recognize the legitimacy of government they worked so hard since the 60′s to subvert and destroy.

      >>> I hear ya Billy, but sometimes these pronouncements have a ring of “I don’t know a single person who voted for Nixon” ya know? At least 45% of the country doesn’t care as long as the Obamaphone is paid for and there’s an evil rich man to blame for their ills.

He’s just another data point towards the inevitability of widespread violence in this country soon enough. If we’re lucky, “ugly” will be our best case scenario….

No doubt there is some selection bias going on. I don’t typically hang around with freeloaders, criminals, academicians, and others who center their lives around “something for nothing”.

But even some of the family that still clings to the rural Democrat ethos of sixty years ago no longer believe government numbers.

        • Our media is now playing up “50 ways to celebrate Michelle Obama’s birthday”

You know what? I’m ready for the violence to begin now. Not because I’m spoiling for a fight (yet) but because I don’t think the nation deserves any better now.  How low can we get???

          • Well, make sure the national tour goes through the swank residential and business areas of the media, celebrity and higher education, because changing the government hacks is NOT the only problem that needs addressing.

            >>> I’m pretty sure that’s a given.

      • A lot of these scandals involving Obama can be cast as “they are trying to do their best” and the opposition are just “haters.”
This ObamaCare rollout is pure administration by this Administration.  It’s really hard to say they are doing their best.
The ACA is flawed, but this Administration had made a bad law into a laughing stock.  When the employer mandate starts to show up in the Fall, this Administration will look pathetic, at best.

        • ““they are trying to do their best”, so was Custer at Little Big Horn.
The non violent version of “fighting for what they thought was right” when what they thought was right, wasn’t.

Trying to do their best – at what?   I assume Stalin was trying to do his best.  Does that mean I should excuse the horrific things he was doing his best to do, because it was, after all, only what he thought was best?

        • Normally you fire people if they fail so spectacularly, even if they are well-meaning. But our schools don’t teach that anymore, so its no wonder the younger people assume the presidency gets the same treatment.
