Quote Of The Day

From, of all people, Paul Krugman (discussing the AIG debacle specifically and financial policy generally):

This administration, elected on the promise of change, has already managed, in an astonishingly short time, to create the impression that it’s owned by the wheeler-dealers. And that leaves it with no ability to counter crude populism.

Uh, I guess the honeymoon is over?!

  • %^#&&%^@!!!!  What the hell does he mean, “COUNTER crude populism”????  TAO IS LEADING THE BAND!!!!  Consider all the anger his teleprompter has been telling him to express lately over the bonuses that his own Tax Cheat in Chief not only helped negotiate, but even asked that crook from Connecticut to make tax free as part of Porkulus.

No, the honeymoon is still on, apparently, with MiniTru determined to keep covering for TOTUS.

It’s enough to make you weep.

    • But the game has just been given away. They CAN’T counter ” crude populism”

The Admin. may be thinking that they can set some controlled burns and get away with it, but these things have away of burning out of control.

And if that starts to happen, Lightworkers only 2 tactics:  1) “It wasn’t my fault!” and  2) Creating the enemy du jour – will fail.

That Obama’s use of crude, and I’d add vapid, populism  is not worth a mention by Krugman, says more about Krugman than anything else.

You did pique my interest with your the assertion that someone – WH, Feds, Treasury — ask that the bill make the bonuses tax free.  Is that true or were you just on a roll?

  • Shocking to admit, but if an unrepentant Marxist like Paul Slugman has turned against The Clown™ and his crowd, they are finished. It is all down hill from here.
