Quote Of The Day

What a load of crap:

Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-IA) claims that President Obama told him “he’s willing to be a one-term president if that’s what it takes to get health care and energy reform,” reports Radio Iowa.

Said Boswell: “The president (said), ‘I’m not going to kick the can down the road.‘ And he said that and I said, ‘Well, that’s something I’m kind of used to from southern Iowa, you know. I know about kicking the can down the road.’ And he said, ‘No, if it makes me a one-term president, I’m going to, we’re going to take it on because the country is in need of us taking this on.’ I respected that very much.”

But in the case of each issue when does it all actually take effect?

Oh, somewhere around 2013.

This is just shameless BS.

I have always fully believed Obama has accepted being a one term president.  If he gets global warming crap and healthcare, he’ll accomplished much more in 8 months than Clinton did in 8 years.  He’s done this by showing absolutely none of Clinton’s pragmatism.

Don’t get me wrong, 2 terms would be nice I’m sure, but I don’t believe he’s afraid of being a one-term president at all.

Which is why I feel like pulling my hair out when people gloat “we’re going to get swept in their in 2010 and 2012″.  Yeah, a Phyrric Victory.  The damage will be done and the Republicans will not undo it.

Here’s one better, Mr. Boswell. I am willing for The Clown™ to be a one-term President, and have that term reduced to one year served, with three years of salvation if we can have the thug removed from power and sent packing back to Chicago right now. The damage he will do “if only” he serves one term will take decades to fix. God help us all if he gets a second term to deconstruct America.

Maybe he thinks that Presidential terms are six years long?  Or maybe he figures that, once he’s done with the Constitution, he won’t have to worry about a second term.

  • Harun says:

Hell, maybe he thinks UN Secretary is his next gig.

If he did not have the media lying for him then he would not have even been a one term president.

Assuming there IS an election in 2012, after four more years of hard left indoctrination in the schools, academia, the media…
