OK folks – we’ve had numerous complaints about the comment system and it is our considered opinion that it is a problem with one of the plug-ins. So I’ve disabled the plug-in.
That means that you need to use html tags if you want bold, italic or blockquotes.
It looks like spacing will work without html tags. If we find a plug in that works with WP or the one we disabled is updated to work with this version of WP, we’ll hook it back up

Good times. Hope we find something that works well.
Experimenting with threaded reply function… huzzah! It works again for me!
Testing, testing…
OK folks – we’ve had numerous complaints…
I
havnthave not been able to get the MSWord-like formatting features to work since the last upgrade – even when using the html override feature. And bringing back a post preview feature would be nice.
Amen to that.
testing …Yep.
Well, I didn’t build this one. It’s WordPress. So we live with what’s available in WordPress.
Well, the quote tag did not work, and my window exploded to a blank screen after I posted that.
Yeah, preview would be nice.
Not seeing your blockquote tag in admin… and it’s working for me. No blank screens either.
use to be blah blah…
still the code?
I may have been lulled by another site which uses [quote]…
Indeed I was! My mistake, but previews would be greatly appreciated.
And it exploded again, without any tags.
FWIW, the inability for me to format my replies does affect my desire to reply.
here goes…
Submit Comment, click
…blank screen!
Testing One Two Three
I’m trying a Firefox Extension, "write area", that lets me right click a text area and bring up an editor with formatting control which I can then later covert to HTML.
Just my luck…now that McQ has gotten rid of the plug-in, I see a screen that is running all over with colors and stars shooting out all over.
Of course, maybe I ate some of my neighbor’s brownies. Yep, that could be it.
What colors! Blues and yellows and grey and orange. Lotsa orange. And lots of lime-colored jell-o.
Bah! Humbug!
Change is evil. Progress is overrated.
