Comments Upgraded

There’s been an upgrade to the TinyMCE Comments plugin that allows commenters to use the WYSIWYG interface for creating comments, instead of a plain old text box.  Works fine for me, but some of you are using off-brand, suck browsers like Opera or whatnot on your home-built Linux systems, so try it out and see if it works.  If it doesn’t, let me know, so I can either unplug the plug-in, or tell you you to use a decent browser like Firefox.

    See, it works.  How about that?

    Cool, huh?

    Even does hyperlinks, and stuff.

    Speak English you egghead! No seriously…it has an HTML option which seems to work just fine. (I cordially hate WYSIWYG)

  • Sharpshooter says:

    Oh, sure…as soon as you get it working,TAO will shut down the internet!

  • Charity says:

    Thanks for the laugh.  My husband is one of the off-brand, suck browser users with a home-built Linux system, so I got a kick out of that line.

  • jpm100 says:

    FYI,
    The paragraph spacing in the dialog box isn’t coming through for some in some (all?) of my comments.
    These
    Should
    All
    Be
    Spaced
    Apart.

    Otherwise, can we take the extra space out of the dialog box, if it won’t go into the comment.

    • jpm100 says:

      And now I have that diamond with the question mark in it on the empty line I put in myself :(

  • JWG says:

    Trying Firefox instead of Safari now:
    Â
    italics
    underline
    strikethrough
    Â
    numbered list

    apple
    banana
    kiwi

    • JWG says:

      FAIL with both Safari and Firefox
      underline = fail
      strikethrough = fail
      lists = fail
      double return = stupid diamond question mark

    awesome.  Great quote, even if I’m prone to using off-brand, suck browsers on home-built systems with even more-obscure-than-linux operating systems.  That one is getting filed.

  • Tim says:

    Crap.  Doesn’t work with Lynx.

    (An inside joke for off-brand, suck browser users on home-built systems with even more-obscure-than-linux operating systems).

  • Sharpshooter says:

    Firefox on XP italics
    Same bold
    Same underline
    Same linethrough
