Quote of the day – Obamacare named
Leave it to Joe Biden to name it and Charles Krauthammer to recognize it:
I think he is the man who, perhaps without intending, has given historical context to this presidency. After all, Obama sees himself as a successor to FDR and Truman, so now we have the historical procession: the New Deal, the Square Deal, and the “Big F**n Deal.”
Hereafter forever known as the BFD. And more literally than anyone can imagine.

Big F*cking America Deal.
I agree. This is a BFD.
But you know, that phrase works pretty well when said facetiously.
“Health Care Reform… [shrug]… big f*cking deal.”
As this legislation will no doubt harm the bottom line, there will come a time for Americans to decide what they want – entitlements at great costs, or free market capitalism warts and all.
There will, IMHO, be a revolution. An electoral revolution, not a violent one. And I’m not so sure it will happen as soon as you think it will.
Cheers.
To hear the Democrats shreek like little girls seeing a mouse, you’d think the GOP was already outfitting the mob with guns and the home addresses of those who voted for BarackyCare.
I agree – it’s unfortunately going to take a lot more pain before we have a genuine political/electoral revolution.
Do you have a link to the original Krauthammer column?
Love the new template, btw. The last one wasn’t too bad, but this one is gorgeous.
I’m not sure it was a column, Ryan – I’ve linked to the source in the post (I’d forgotten to do so, so thanks for the reminder).
Glad you like the new look.
“not a violent one” here’s hoping, I don’t really care for the idea that people might pull out their BFG 9000 and go to town to ‘fix’ this.
They say that Joe Biden buys shoes in sets of 3 .. 2 to wear on his feet .. the other to go into his mouth
Biden at the RTCA Dinner, acknowledging his propensity for gaffes, and taking a shot of his own.. “Dick Morris is quick to point out every time I put my foot in my mouth, well, Dick, at least it’s my foot…”
Is anyone else as leery as I am to try and figure out what he meant by that?
BFD is usually meant to be sarcastic and implies much tado over nothing.
Don’t think that applies here.

looker, it was a Clinton era sex scandal, Morris was allegedly sucking a hooker’s toes while he was on conference calls with the President, or something like that. What the President was doing while he was on those calls is open for speculation.
Ah, thank you for the info. I admit, my brain went to all the wrong places after Joe’s comment.
Oh god! The imagery.
My brain, it burns.
