My rhetorical “Immigration rally” questions

Thinking about the upcoming “immigration rallies” planned for tomorrow, supposedly in 70 cities, I wondered if perhaps we’d see a repeat of how the Tea Parties were covered.  For example:

I wonder if the rallies will be characterized as “all brown” as the Tea Parties were tagged “all white” (and thereby “racist”)?

I wonder if the press will go African-American hunting like they did with the TPs (minus Al Sharpton and his posse, of course)?

I wonder, if they find any, whether they’ll ask them if they feel “uncomfortable” attending the rallies?

I wonder if the left will come up with a clever sexual slang name for those protesting – “brownbaggers” for instance?

And, finally, I wonder if our politicians will characterize those attending as thugs, racists, brownshirts, fascists and astro-turf?

I’m sure you have a few questions of your own.  Feel free to leave them in the comments.

  • Yeah, I have a question…

I wonder if the left will come up with a clever sexual slang name for those protesting – “brownbaggers” for instance?

Uh… is “brownbagger” a sexual double entendre I’ve never heard of before???  Is it a military thing?  Or did you just make that up?
And if you did just make that up, what is the double entendre?  Or do I want to know?

    Cheers.

    • Just making a suggestion Pogue – whoever might decide that is appropriate can also come up with the sexual connotation. However, brown bag ought to be fairly obvious to those seeking such a tag.

    • well you could call them all “Dirty Sanchez’s”

  • If – as I expect – Mexican flags are waived at these rallies or the American flag is disrespected, will democrats in Congress and leftist pundits call the illegal supporters “un-American”?

If – as I expect – illegal supporters continue acts of vandalism and threatened violence, will democrats in Congress and leftist pundits call them “terrorists”?

If – as I expect – anti-white epithets and language are used, will democrats in Congress and leftist pundits call the illegal supporters “racist”?  And if a white member of Congress alleges that somebody hurled a racist slur at him, will MiniTru rush to report it?

Or will these terms be reserved exclusively for Americans (including recent immigrants) who want the border controlled and illegal aliens deported when they are found, i.e. want the law upheld?

    And a few more questions:

    — If a business declares itself a “sanctuary business” and the owner refuses to verify the immigration status of his workers, what should happen to him?

    — If a police department declares itself a “sanctuary police department” and the chief of police orders his officers not to arrest or cite people who fit a certain ethnic profile, what should happen to him?

    — If a chief of police orders his officers not to search for criminals because “I don’t know what a murderer / rapist / thief looks like”, what should happen to him?

    — If a person is stopped for a traffic violation and refuses to provide a driver’s license (his “papers”) or proof of insurance, what should happen to him?

    — If a person arrives at a US port or airport from overseas and refuses to provide a passport or visa, what should happen to him?

    — If a person tries to work in a union shop and refuses to provide proof of union membership, what should happen to him?

    — If a person refuses to provide proof of health insurance to the IRS, what should happen to him?

    • Well doc, conveniently enough I can answer those questions – The answer is – if the person in question is likely to vote Democrat in the next election (legally or illegally) and especially if they are part of a recognized constituency, NOTHING will happen to them (and even if it did, it wouldn’t be worth mentioning in the news anyway).

Now I know that sounds partisan, but, hey, get over it, they won!

      • looker[I]f the person in question is likely to vote Democrat in the next election (legally or illegally) and especially if they are part of a recognized constituency, NOTHING will happen to them…

A sad truth, and IMO another thing that p*sses off people and contributes to the growth of the Tea Party.  We’re not “all men are created equal” anymore.  Hell, we’re not even “seperate but equal anymore”.  In democrat eyes, some animals ARE more equal than others, and to suggest otherwise is racist / sexist / homophobic / un-American.

    • i’m not sure the democrats will do anything doc,  but i’m sure rush and his boys will lead the republican charge against this brown wave that’s washing over your amerika.

  • It should be pointed out that these demonstrations about a recently passed law are equivalent.  One group of demonstrations is because politicians lied about a recently passed law and the demonstrators’ signs tell the truth about it.  The other group of demonstrations is based on politicians lying about a recently passed law and the demonstrators’ signs support the lies.

  • I don’t remember anything in the military about brownbagging other than the civilian junior high meaning.  That was someone who brought lunch ( in a brown bag).  As opposed to eating cafeteria food.

    • Yeah, so work the double entendre from that, Bob. As I recall, you can also “brownbag” liquor in some states into establishments that don’t serve liquor but will allow its consumption on site if you bring it. There are all sorts of possibilities for the word.

  • I would assume brown bagging means you’re tapping the nanny.

  • And to answer McQ’s questions:
    No,
    No,
    No,
    No, and
    No

  • Will the numbers be intentionally underesimated by major newspapers so that imbecilic professors of political science can say there were only a few thousand?

More likely, I think, that they will be over-estimated. Then, somebody on wikipedia will ramp up the numbers past the edge of credibility, and the imbecilic political science professors will tell us all how that’s proof these rallies are important but the tea parties are meaningless.

  • Maybe we should send some UIES thugs to rough them up a bit.

  • amigos help a brother out.   the arizona law good.  the proposed national id card, bad.  is that right?  pedro is very impressed by the consistency of your philosophies.

    • Amigo, here is my personal rule: don’t break the law, and especially in a foreign country. Hey, but if you endorse illegal actions as fine and dandy, I hope your car is stolen tomorrow.

      • Or better yet, I hope he gets run into by a bunch of illegals with no license or insurance, they total his car and he gets taken by ambulance to an emergency room but has to wait many hours for treatment because it is clogged with illegals.

    • Well  is Arizona asking people to produce their American passport or ‘national id card’ when they request to see  ID? No probably not.  A drivers license maybe?  Some other form of ID recognized in the State of Arizona perhaps?  You know, whatever form of ID you’d provide if you, uh, wanted to vote, or uh, wanted to obtain a driver’s license maybe?  And if you really are a funny talking furriner, well, you ought to have your passport or government approved “furriner’ ID on you at the time anyway, right?

I realize that might be to obvious to anyone who’s decided to use their brain as more than filler to prevent bees from making a nest in their head, which does, I know, pretty much rules out anyone who can’t/won’t recognize the difference between an immigrant, and an illegal immigrant.

Did ya know in Mexico it’s a felony to be there ‘undocumented’?  Yeah, I know with a law like that,  I’ll bet you’re thinking they’re a bunch of racists right?

    • You asked for it – yes today on ‘you asked for it’ we have Pedro, the illegal from the north bank of the River Charles asking – “if he’s caught in Arizona without his national ID, what form of ID will be acceptable to prevent the police from shipping him post haste in cuffs back to the People’s Republic of Massachusetts” -
Pedro, here ya go, happy to to assist, and be kayaful wheyah you guys pahk youah cah if you come south amigo!
      “A valid Arizona driver license.
A valid Arizona nonoperating identification license.
A valid tribal enrollment card or other form of tribal identification.
A valid federal, state or local government issued identification, if the issuing
      entity requires presence before issue.”

  • I’m confused now. My wife who has a green card is by law required to have it on her person (I need to call her about that – I told her to keep it at home to avoid losing it) and that’s fine and dandy.
But requiring illegal aliens to not have their lack of documents with them is racist. Wait…seriously?
need to change the law so my wife doesn’t need her green card on her or all of you libertarians and Democrats are hypocrites…let’s see how fast that happens.
