“What good is it if you kill one of his people, and he kills a thousand of yours?”
Osame bin Laden takes a verbal shellacking from one of the founders of al Qaeda who is none to pleased with bin Laden, Iraq and 9/11:
Sayyid Imam al-Sharif, who goes by the nom de guerre Dr Fadl, helped bin Laden create al-Qaeda and then led an Islamist insurgency in Egypt in the 1990s.
But in a book written from inside an Egyptian prison, he has launched a frontal attack on al-Qaeda’s ideology and the personal failings of bin Laden and particularly his Egyptian deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri.Twenty years ago, Dr Fadl became al-Qaeda’s intellectual figurehead with a crucial book setting out the rationale for global jihad against the West.
Today, however, he believes the murder of innocent people is both contrary to Islam and a strategic error. “Every drop of blood that was shed or is being shed in Afghanistan and Iraq is the responsibility of bin Laden and Zawahiri and their followers,” writes Dr Fadl.
The terrorist attacks on September 11 were both immoral and counterproductive, he writes. “Ramming America has become the shortest road to fame and leadership among the Arabs and Muslims. But what good is it if you destroy one of your enemy’s buildings, and he destroys one of your countries? What good is it if you kill one of his people, and he kills a thousand of yours?” asks Dr Fadl. “That, in short, is my evaluation of 9/11.”
Heh … welcome to reality Dr Fadl.

The losing side invariably looks around for places to point the finger of blame. I don’t suppose there’s anyone in here, who doesn’t understand that the absent the massive loss that Calcutta experienced at the hands of these United States, and George W. Bush,  Dr Fadl would have been happy with the outcome and singing bin Laden’s praises, instead.
The interesting part is, that I strongly doubt the supposedly mainstream press whenever provide us with such an evaluation of this condemnation of his.Â

Even AQ are coming to realize that the Bsuh doctrine worked. Â From all the things that Obama is keeping I gues he agrees as well. Â He would have too wouln’t he.
This charming fellow is in an Egyptian prison, right?Â
Really, do his words have any influence with fundamentalist muslims?Â
Had Al Gore been president on 9/11, what would he have done? Probably what Bin Laden expected, a couple of cruise missile attacks on his training camps or have UN sanctions slapped on Afghanistan, whose only export is opium.

On thing people in the Middle East understand is power. For all the talk about quagmire and our invasions of Iraq helping radical islam recruit, al Qaeda’s caliphate in Baghdad did not work out. Worst of all, Iraq my actually become that most un-islamic of all entities – a modern, prosperous, secular Arab democracy.

But but but… I thought there was no relation between AQ in Iraq and AQ in Afghanistan!
