Back in the 80s, someone broke the windshield of my neighbor’s car in Dulzura, CA. The next night my neighbor camped on my property, in a sleeping bag with a flashlight and .22 rifle. Around 1 AM the next morning, a guy broke the windshield of the neighbor’s other car, and got shot in the shoulder and knee with the .22. My understanding is that no charges were filed.
The guy breaking the windshield was a transient, who was camping out on my property.
