Stone’s Russian Imperial Stout really is a world class beer (try it some day when you see a bottle that is over a year old…oh my goodness gracious…it gets better), but isn’t it rather hot for a stout like that?

Supposedly, scientifically stouts do better at quenching thirst than lighter beers. Go figure. (This was told to me by a beer salesman at North Coast Brewery who was quoting some study.)
By the way, North Coast make an excellent Imperial Russian Stout, called Rasputin. I think its only 9% though.
