Don’t lie Josh B, you don’t want them to go to school, you want them to labour 26 hours a day as child labour in your sweatshop manufacturing Rolls-Royce’s for your fat cat friends... you in fact want them to PAY YOU for the honour of labouring 26 hours per day working for you! Cold gravel for breakfast and their parents killing them, cutting them up, and singing "Glory, Glory" over their graves is what you want....

I like how they accurately show a typical university’s traditional method of posting total tuition on a schoolbuilding wall.

That book doesn’t make sense...if Mommy was a Democrat, she would’ve aborted her child.

They do mean both Mommies, don’t they?

It looks like the trenchcoat man is supposed to be homeless. In the first sample, he’s begging from the "fat cats", possibly after sleeping on that bench. In the second, the Republican elephant ("The Man") is forcing him to leave the bench. In the third sample, he’s dreaming of going to college from behind the gate — admission is $160k and only the fat cats were able to pay it. My guess is that further pages show the reason he is homeless is that he wasn’t able to afford an education.

You would of course be referring to the Fat Weasel that cheated, TWICE, to become the "proclaimed" or "selected" leader of the meadow, correct?

Its targeted at this book, "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!" , which is a conservative childern’s book.

Which only leaves one question, where the libertarian children’s book? ;)

That’s not a lab coat - that’s a trench coat.
Flasher’s don’t wear lab coats.
Maybe he’s a homeless flasher!
brings to life the core values of the Democratic party in ways that young children will easily understand and thoroughly enjoy. Using plain and non-judgmental language, along with warm and whimsical illustrations, this colorful 28-page paperback depicts the Democratic principles of fairness, tolerance, peace, and concern for the well-being of others. It’s a great way for parents to gently communicate their commitment to these principles and explain their support for the party.
Ah, brain wash them gently while they’re young, that’s the ticket.

After all, they’ll understand politics well at this age -
Republicans - bad, mean, cold, wet, slimy.
Democrats - good, nice, warm, dry, fuzzy & cuddly.
Former (dead) Republicans - Wicked Witch of the West, Malificent, Witch from Snow White.
Democrats - Dorothy, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the United Dwarf Mine Workers of America.

Silly Kenneth. Don’t you know that libertarianism’s not for kids?

Its targeted at this book, "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!" , which is a conservative childern’s book.
Which, according to it’s blurb, was targeted against books like:
King & King - Fairy tale for alternative families (recommend by ’Lesbian life’).
No, George, no! - This is a book about a President named George who has a dream. In this dream, George becomes a little boy, and he meets a Truth Fairy who is trying to teach him lessons about How to not manipulate the Media...
It’s Just a Plant: A Children’s Story of Marijuana

All those sound like appropriate topics for children who are old enough to get their daily ration of fairy tales, don’t you think? Including "There are liberals under my bed....", which sounds just as stupid according to it’s blurb.

what ever happened to good old hansel and gretel. Kids getting lost in the forest and almost eaten is much more educational.

Well Josh, it’s the Politicization of EVERYTHING brought on by Marx, now the "Private IS public." Fairy Tales are now about socializing children into the correct worldview.... of course they had the same effect in the past, too, just a somewhat different goal.

This is priceless, but really, positive messages don’t work anymore.

What they need is something more along the lines of...

"Why Satan is a Republican"

Sample text:

Satan is a Republican because he likes to see people tortures.

Satan is a Republican because he loves to hear people tell lies.

And most importantly, Satan is a Republican because everyone in his family are Republicans, George, George, Jeb, Tex, Adolf, Prescott, and Dopey (oops, already mentioned George)

all good fun

this n00b (who lives w/ his "partner", julia) used sitebuilder to make his site. typical ham-handed democrat. you’d think w/ all the /.’ers out there, this guy would have a site that mother could approve of.

also, from his ad-hoc Curriculum Vitae, he reveals he’s properly educated, no doubt under a democratic president, under whom he could afford such a blessing!

There is a "National Center for the Study of Children’s Literature"? Is this due to the dumbing down of adult literature?

Where is the page about sex education? I bet the guy in the trenchcoat stands out on that one.

Kenneth sai d

"Its targeted at this book, "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed!" , which is a conservative childern’s book"

Gee lets see.

Why mommy is a democrat was published sometime prior to Dec 3, 2005. This means the book was already published.

http://wizbangblog.com/2005/12/03/why-is-mommy-a-democrat.php

"Help Mom. There are liberals under my bed" was published on Sept 20,2005 (per Kenneth’s link)

So (according to Kenneth) the author got a copy of the conservative book, wrote her own, found a publisher and got it published in about 2 months.

YEAH RIGHT. Tell me another one.

BTW the author stated

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1532077/posts

BTW that was posted 12/1/05.

"

A lifelong Democrat and political activist, I have been teaching and writing about American politics for over a decade. Although Why Mommy is a Democrat is my first children’s book, I’ve previously authored and coauthored numerous political essays and the book Racialized Coverage of Congress: The News in Black and White.

After hearing for years that I should consider writing children’s books, I finally decided to give it a try. But I didn’t want to write a typical children’s story; instead, I set out to write a book that would help parents communicate important political values to their children and offer an underlying theme of political satire for adults. The result, Why Mommy is a Democrat, reflects my passion for progressive politics, my sense of humor, and my academic training in fields such as political psychology and socialization.

Operating on a shoestring budget, I was extremely fortunate to find a gifted and experienced local artist, Yuliya Firsova, who agreed to illustrate the book. Yuliya did a truly marvelous job of bringing my ideas (and some of her own) to life. Thanks to her, the final product exceeds my wildest expectations.

"

Which mentions nothing about the book that Kenneth linked.

Now

"Help Mom. There are liberals under my bed"

was published in response to books like King & King;" "No, George, No;" or "It’s Just a Plant?"

That were published in 2002 and 2003.
