February 26, 2004 Pretty, but you can have it... Every year or so, we in Atlanta get the occasional snow storm. Its always fun and it usually lasts about a day. And yes, in a major city which only has 1 snowplow (at the airport), we use it as an excuse to stay home. But it also reminds us of what the folks in the North have to live through for an entire season, and we usually also think at that time, "thank goodness we live in Atlanta". So this is it for the season ... mostly gone by tomorrow. Time for spring!  |
This is what we had in Dallas a couple of weekends ago. Woke up Saturday a.m. to a blanket of light, white, fluffy, wet snow, just like above. It snowed til almost noon and then started warming up. By evening it was mostly gone and Sunday was in the high 60's. Just the way it ought to be.
