Dale's First Post
Posted by

You've probably noticed that there's a bit of an updated look today. That's because the first thing I did upon being invited to blog here was to accidentally destroy the site's web template.

Style, of course, is supposed to evolve. But, as the late Steven Jay Gould assured us, evolution is often a matter of punctuated equilibrium, rather than steady, slow change. So, I guess I punctuated the equilibrium "big time" as the Vice President is wont to say.

My first thought was to email Jon and McQ to tell them, "Hi, thanks for inviting me to blog here. Oh, by the way, I just destroyed your web site. Well, I'm off. Toodles!"

But, instead, I've spent the last three hours rebuilding the site. But other than that, I think my first day went well.

As Jon has mentioned, I'm not sure how I am going to split my time between here and my own blog, or how Jon and McQ will choose to participate at The Review. But, I hope that we can find a way to produce a product that here that you'll find informative and entertaining.

I really like the writing that Jon and McQ are producing here, and I hope that I can help out by maintaining the high standards they've already set. In addition, I hope to participate without crashing their web site again.

Let's keep our fingers crossed, huh?

Actually, Dale, I like the new look. It still doesn't display right in Mozilla for some reason (and I've upgraded to the latest version, I swear!), but in IE it looks terrific.

Congrats on your new cross-posting agreement with Jon and McQ. You guys are going to be dynamite.

Don't worry about it Dale, remember, it's always better to come in with a bang. Glad you're here, someone needs to keep the othere two in check.
