July 07, 2004 Playing to the Nascar Dads Of note to me because I live in Richmond, this is an interesting (but perhaps only to me) rumor.... President Bush at RIR? hearing Presidebt Bush will attend the Nextel Cup race at Richmond International Raceway on 9/11/2004 and that security for the race will be heightened even more since the race falls on 9/11, the three year anniversary of the attacks.(7-5-2004)It strikes me as not entirely improbable. That is a core demographic for Bush, and what better way to wrap yourself in the flag (in a good way) on the anniversary of 9/11 than to attend a Nascar race? |
