Basic Human Rights...
Posted by Jon Henke

I've got just as many jokes about this post as the next guy, but he really does make a good point....

...I would like to expound on this concept of "A women's choice to do with her body what she pleases".

Why can't women go topless then? Or nude completely? If it is so important that women* have complete control over their bodies, why do they allow the government to tell them they must cover up their breasts and genetalia?

I'm not trying to be snotty, it's just that it perplexes me why something as simple as clothing is ignored while something as complex as abortion is made out to be the pinnacle of freedom.

So, here's what you do.
- Strip.
- Walk into the headquarters of NOW.
- Make a speech about womens inalienable right to control their own body.
- Keep talking until they call the police on you.
- Lesson learned, run away. Very quickly.

Food for thought.

And along the same lines, if a woman's body is hers to do with as she wishes, why then can she be thrown in jail for having or using drugs?

Or prostitution

Well, yeah. I maintain that they (modern feminists) are not pro-choice, merely pro-abortion. They (modern) feminists wish to make (or have government make) most of the choices for women. What they ought to wear or not wear, what they ought to do for a living, for whom they should vote, where the kids should go to school, etc. Choices are not for the "little people".

I tried that. The NOW ladies just weren't impressed.

That says something about me, I just don't know what.

Anyway, I don't know what the latin phrase is where you use an extreme to point out a flaw in something, but that's all I wanted to do. Pointo Outus Absurdium or something.
