The Unbearable Lightness of Robin Givhan
Posted by: Jon Henke on Friday, July 22, 2005

After criticizing Dick Cheney for dressing down, Robin Givhan writes a Washington Post article criticizing the "self-consciously crafted perfection" of Judge John Roberts' family.

It's not the first time she's criticized the White House for being too "perfect", either. This time last year, it was the Bush twins who were going to be "a perfectly polished and eloquently scripted facsimile".

...which, all things considered, seems a rather strange complaint for the Fashion Editor of the Washington Post to make, but I sort of expect silly people to make silly complaints. One can't expect intellectual heft from somebody whose job it is to criticize shoes.

But I can criticize this post from TBogg:
Crazy-assed bitch Michelle Malkin jumps to the defense of John Roberts creepy family:
[...]
First off, nobody wants to see Mrs. Roberts dressed like [Alexandra] Kerry. She's already ball-shrivelling enough.
Worst of all, in response to a supporter of Roberts' family, he writes that having children isn't "half the talent you seem to think it is (although, to give you credit, it's something that the Roberts couldn't manage to pull off on their own)".

[Yes, the Roberts adopted. No, they're not the first people to dress up children in Washington, DC]

What the hell is wrong with these people?

I assume that was a rhetorical question. ;)

TBogg and his fellow characters has an ongoing hate fest over Michelle. Funny that most of thier complaints seem to be the same the racial and gender slurs that we see come of the worse far right idiot, i.e klansman (some guy name byrd??).

Hey if they weren’t on the left, people would call them, ... er, racists, which they in fact are.

That’s ok......expect the "he’s a closeted gay" whispering campaign to increase in volume shortly.

What’s wrong with these people is that they don’t have children of their own, or if they do have kids, they are still very young and are left in daycare. Otherwise they’d realize what an art it is to raise a child and how normal Roberts’ son is. When I saw the footage of him bouncing off the walls, my first thought was "he’d make a great playmate for Benjy!"

I should add that anyone who says having children doesn’t take talent must think that having a child is like having a dog, only you birth it yourself. Yeah it takes no talent, *if* all you have to do is feed it and clothe it.

What’s wrong with these people? Bush Derangement Syndrome, which is becoming so pervasive I expect it to be certified as a psychiatric disease by the American Psychological Association any time now.

They know he’s not a far leftist and therefore don’t like him.
But.... They have nothing else to complain about.

Speaking of lightness... this "controversy" would go away if Malk, et al, were big enough to ignore it. Sigh

Billy beat me to BDS.

It’s also Bush hate, Jew hate, Success hate. Like I said last year.
