Summary from the comments:
"You know if Black Republican wasn’t a synonym for betrayer of black people we could debate their views.
But because it is, we need to call these people out as loudly as possible. steve_gilliard | Homepage | 10.26.05 - 11:10 am | # "

Oh, it gets even better:
Campaign pulls ads from web site
I especially liked this quote from the Steve Gilliard, the blogger who created this disgraceful picture:"I guess they have a problem with black people expressing themselves in print," Gilliard said. "At no point did they bother to ask me what I thought or why I did it." |

You mean he thought about it? Couldn’t tell that thought was involved. |

This is pretty standard stuff for Gilliard. He hatefully attacks any black who isn’t a lefty. The amazing thing isn’t that they pulled the advertising, it’s that they advertised in the first place. |

That is disgusting. How can someone with a brain think that’s even remotely acceptable? |

Jin, it always was. IN the old days the Democratic party believed in racial divisivness, quotas, race baiting, and conspiracy theories. Nowadays they believe in, Oh wait!, THE SAME THINGS! |

"Those who think of themselves as intellectually superior also think of themselves as morally superior — as we saw most vividly in the reaction of so many of the smart people’s faction to their unexpected defeat. And there’s nothing like being persuaded of one’s general and massive moral superiority to reconcile one’s conscience to cutting a few moral corners here and there or giving vent, now and then, to a little "hatred" and "bigotry" of one’s own." —James Bowman.

To me, the Democrat Party was, is, and always will be the party of slavery (given their current ideology). |

This is pretty standard stuff for Gilliard. Indeed... I remember when he accused Glenn Reynolds of advocating the murder of blacks because he wore a T shirt that said "celebrate diversity" with a number of firearms on it, and said that the use of the "pan african colors" to color the words "Celebrate diversity" cinched it. You’d think Gilliard would realize that Yellow and Orange aren’t "pan african colors".

Forgive me for displaying my "Black card" here but as a fairly conservative African-American (although I prefer the term "liberatrian moralist"), I’m not so much offended as ennuied. From personal experience I can testify that once a Black person steps off the liberal plantation, they are fair game for all sorts of personal attacks. Be of good comfort, any Black conservative who is public about their policy positions and beliefs has long since armoured themselves against such attacks. |
