Al Queda’s funniest home videos?
Posted by: McQ on Thursday, May 04, 2006

Coalition forces found a tape of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's latest video which included what can only be described as outtakes or bloopers:
Coalition officials here today showed the "outtakes" of terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's latest anti-coalition screed, and it became quickly apparent why they ended on the cutting-room floor, so to speak.

In one, Zarqawi — the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq — has trouble trying to operate an automatic weapon. An associate has to show him how to do it. Later in the same shot, an associate takes the weapon from Zarqawi by the barrel and burns his hand. In another, the feared terrorist is shown in a black uniform and bright blue "tenny pumps."

Coalition troops found the tape during a raid on a hideout for foreign fighters. "He is far from being a capable military leader," coalition spokesman Army Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch said during a news conference today.
Heh ... we may have a "broken army" Mr. Zarqawi, but our lowest private knows not to grab a hot barrel. As for his combat fashion sense with the blue tennies, well, we'll leave that for others to decide. But for cammo, I can only see it as useful if Zarqawi plans on hiding in a blueberry patch ... at night.

You can see the video here.

Maybe we could lock Bush and Mr. Zarqawi in a room and see which one can clean, assemble, lock and load an M16 first. It would be a win - win situation both for us and the Iraqis.

For an uncapable military leader he sure has caused a lot of problems for US. More deaths of US soldiers last month than the one before....and so on and so on.

Oh I forgot, the war ended three years ago.....

Strapping explosives on someone and having them blow themselves up in a crowd does not a ’military leader’ make. Even you could do that.

His ineptness comes from the fact that he has Sunni organizations actively hunting and killing his operatives now, so successful has he been in winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqis.

Yeah? Who ever said that?

Yeah, he’s responsible for all the incidents in Iraq. No one else, just him and his small but noble band of ’freedom...’, er...., ’desiring to live under sever Islamic restrictions’ fighters.

I’m sure W would have that SOB hog tied and strung up in no time flat. People keep misunderestimating him. Strange how that keeps happening.

Well, thegools he sure ain’t Giap or Mao, that’s for sure...He IS He(( on wheels at killing civilians, though. Beyond the fact that his Grand Strategy has failed and that many of his tactics are turning the populace against his cause I would have to agree, the US is being beaten by this guy... if you care to overlook the facts on the ground, that is. However, if you’d like to show where Zarquawi has managed to move past Phase I operations, a la Mao’s Red Book or even where those Phase I operations have been successful in doing more than maintaining, not growing the Revolucion.

Key question here- will our media, and more importantly Al Jazeera show these scenes? This fool getting embarassed actually has phenominal value for use, he’ll probably lose a lot of respect and support.

The worst thing for any leader of a movement is outright mockery.

Wide distribution for this tape NOW please.

Non sequitur alert!

What does Zarqawi bloopers have to do with angering Iraqis?

C’mon, McQ!

This shows an Arab man being incompetent at military affairs. And it’s released by the US military!

Talk about insensitive!

And to top it all off, he is now being subjected to ridicule. You ought to know, as we all do, that in the Arab culture, one must never ridicule one’s opponent or call into question their masculine competency!

This is as bad as "Bring it on!"

They’ll be murdering each other in the West Bank and Pakistan for this tomorrow morning. There will be calls for the heads of the producers. Danish embassies will be set fire (for no particular reason other than they have practice at setting Danish embassies on fire, and there seems to be no danger in continuing to do so). The Japanese will be held responsible because the digital tape was manufactured by Sony Corp.

McQ, don’t you get it? When the banner in the background reads "Mission Accomplished," and the President says,
"The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time but it is worth every effort. Our coalition will stay until our work is done."
... what that really means to the Snark Patrol is he was declaring the war over.

Had nothing to do with the "mission" of removing a brutal dictator from power.

How about some facts......Bush had nothing to do with the Misson Accomplished sign. That sign was put up by the Commanding Officer of the aircraft carrier.

Why? because they were going home so their (the aircraft carrier) mission was accomplished.

But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good left wing fantasy.

’Tis true, although I seem to recall something about the White House staff actually making the sign at the request of the crew.

All of this is laughable because Mr. Bush refused to take Zarqawi out three different times when he had the chance before he invaded. Three times the CIA asked and Bush debated it to death and three times Mr. Commander Cuckoo Bananas told the CIA to leave Zarqawi there for "political purposes."

This was reported in The Wall Street Journal and then it was on MSNBC/NBC.

Names of the CIA officers were included...even the Secretary’s comments were included who took the call from George Wacko to leave Zarqawi there.

Here’s a compilation of some of the places it has been discussed. http://mediamatters.org/items/200410270007

Someone should just ask bush why he didn’t take him out when he could have. Strong on terror...while he was telling us he would hunt down and kill terrorists (even bungling ones) he was telling the cIA to leave him there.

Then Bin Laen got away.

You want to talk about bungling> LOOLOLOLOL

We are being lied to. Mr. Bush could have taken him out. He is not even Iraqi. He was in area of Iraq which was no -fly zones and the CIA do not even think Saddam knew he was there.

Someone needs to ask him why he didn’t take him out when he could have. But of course, he has already been reported dead.

BTW, to bomb an entire country because of a terrorist in no-fly zone — from Jordan would be like bombing florida because some terrorists are learning to fly there and accusing bush of harboring terrorists whether he knew they were there or not. Worse, it would be like bombing us because there is a Jordanian terrorist in Canada.

This entire administration is insane.

The other night this was on a program called "Four Corners." It was shown in Australia and I think Britain...but of course not shown here...you know, the home of the brave and land of the free......we don’t get to see reports of the CIA guy talking about this. And God help any American reporter that tries.

Start at that link above and then just start reading. What do you have to say about bush refusing to take him out?
Three times?

And then, remember — the Post recently exposed the writer at the NY Times for being handed something by the military and reporting it as fact. The Washington Post reporter found that it was all psyops. It was supposedly stuff written in email by Zarqawi — and most people believe this crap without a critical thought in their head. Well, it was exposed for exactly what it was. PSYOPS by a brave reporter that said the other reporter at the NY Times was handed something, never even checked it out and wrote what he was ordered to write. That reporter whore is just that — he did what he was told and transcribed what he was told. Later he admitted that he did doubt the story, but the problem is, he did not have the courage to say that he was handed information to report to American public as PSYOPS LIES.

In just 2004 we (taxpayers) spent $24 BILLION dollars for psyops. WE ARE PAID FOR BEING LIED TO.

this story stinks. You are the ones more likely to be used and lied to because you let yourselves be taken in by something ridiculous like this. How does it feel to have your mind manipulated? I would think that would be a girly man type thing.... rumsfeld has made it very clear that the psyops is not going to stop. And one of the markets for psyops is here. That’s what he has said. So shouldn’t you automatically assume you are being lied to, especially with a story this preposterous.

The thing that occurred to me is that this was practice for someone that sort of (but not really) looked like that old picture of Zarqawi. It could have been Israelis or who knows who - doing what bush always does — they have practice and stage warmups. This would make a THINKING PERSON very suspicious. This sounds to me like someone was helping some guy that looked sort of like the one-legged dead guy to make a fake tape.

Believe me, the REAL Zarqawi knew weapons. He was a bad guy. He would not fumble weapons. Haven’t you read anything at all about him - before he was reported dead by Rumsfeld over 2 years ago? Go check it out — believe me...he knows how to use weapons. So this was all a stage set up.

Haven’t you ever been to Universal Studios? LOL This guy they were using to pretend to be Zarqawi is an actor. Of course he doesn’t know how to use weapons. LOL He was like they have on sets when the real guy is dead or not real. They hire extras or actors.

BTW, Zarqawi has one leg. Did the guy on that film have one leg? This is fact....even Rumsfeld told us that a long tine ago.

You need to learn how to think critically before jumping to conclusions. This story is absolutely laughable, but mostly because people buy into it hook, line, and sinker without a critical thought or logic ability.

This is all fabricated. Zarqawi has been dead for over two years. His family had a funeral for him in Jordan. We know this because a reporter went looking for him or his background and found his family in Jordan.

Of course, you make the administration out to be the bad guys, but you take all of the "sources" in these articles at face value, without, to borrow your phrase, any critical thinking.
Someone needs to ask him why he didn’t take him out when he could have. But of course, he has already been reported dead.
Hmmm...I followed the links that you posted, and if I remember correctly, they did ask, and they received a response. Several, in fact. I’m sure the simple responses weren’t enough for most, though, surely there must be something more conspiratorial going on!
BTW, to bomb an entire country because of a terrorist in no-fly zone — from Jordan would be like bombing florida because some terrorists are learning to fly there and accusing bush of harboring terrorists whether he knew they were there or not. Now you’re arguing for the administration’s side...?
The other night this was on a program called "Four Corners." Be very careful about people claiming to be CIA, NSA, DIA, Special Forces, SAD, etc., current or retired. Even many who are authentic like to abuse the fact that they were a part of the intelligence community. People assume, "Oh, he’s ex-CIA, he probably knows all about Zarqawi!", when in reality, he may have spent most of his career in resource management or something like that, or worse yet, nothing more than fixing agent’s STU phones.
In just 2004 we (taxpayers) spent $24 BILLION dollars for psyops. WE ARE PAID FOR BEING LIED TO.
I worked in PSYOPS (or did I fix phones?)...it seems fairly clear that you have no idea what PSYOPS actually is.
Believe me, the REAL Zarqawi knew weapons. He was a bad guy. He would not fumble weapons. Haven’t you read anything at all about him - before he was reported dead by Rumsfeld over 2 years ago? Go check it out — believe me...he knows how to use weapons. Yes, he knows how to use weapons...that he’s familiar with. Just because you can fire an AK-47 doesn’t make you an expert on a SAW (which is what Zarqawi had). He likes to make a show of having American-made weapons (makes him seem more ominous..."Where did he get those...OH NO!!") like the SAW and M-4. That doesn’t mean he can field-strip one in 5 seconds. And also remember, as much as Zarqawi may have in charisma and leadership, he is a buffoon. Many former associates characterize him as being dim-witted and thuggish.
BTW, Zarqawi has one leg. Did the guy on that film have one leg? This is fact....even Rumsfeld told us that a long tine ago.
You’re right...wasn’t that about the same time they told us about the WMD? Are you bipolar? You criticize the administration for supposedly using PSYOPS on it’s own citizens and deceiving them, and then you use their statements to try to make your argument! Huh??? The truth is, the administration has been mistaken about many AQ (and other terrorist group) leaders and henchmen, mainly because they don’t like to show their faces too often.
You need to learn how to think critically before jumping to conclusions. This story is absolutely laughable, but mostly because people buy into it hook, line, and sinker without a critical thought or logic ability.
You need to learn to think critically, analytically, and impartially.
