I understand a local DC deli will be naming it’s ham sandwich after Rove. |

Jason Leopold appears to be the ONLY person reporting this anywhere. I want it to be true, but this makes me a bit nervous. |

While crimes like "obstruction," "perjury" and "lying to investigators" are serious, the first and last question is .. about what original crime ?
This reenforces the the notion that you should never say anything to investigators, grand juries, or prosecutors .. period. Take the 5th all the way. Most especially if you did nothing. |

While crimes like "obstruction," "perjury" and "lying to investigators" are serious, the first and last question is .. about what original crime ? I guess the "original crime" does not matter, does it? Just ask Bill Clinton - he was not even being investigated for a crime when the Monica matter came up. It was a civil lawsuit. Not that it matters to the hypocrites, i.e., Ruthuglicans.
Have you noticed that no one - and I mean no one - is denying Rove has been indicted? Where is Luskin? Look, if you had been publicly suspected of a crime, and you had Rove’s notiriety and stature, and there were rumors out there that you were indcited on Friday, wouldn’t you want your lawyer out there denying those rumors? After all, what are you paying him for?
Rove is evil. He trades on rumor and inneundo. He smears. He plays on fear and hatred. He is the main force in the WhiteHouse that says it is morally acceptable to portray anyone - anyone - who opposes George Bush on any - any - policy decision as a traitor.
And then Karl ran into a criminal investiagation. He was completely out of his league. And he was revealed for the ridiculous coward that he really is.
Welcome to the machine, Karl.
Now that Bush has lost his brain, is that a good or bad thing? |

This reenforces the the notion that you should never say anything to investigators, grand juries, or prosecutors .. period. Take the 5th all the way. Most especially if you did nothing. Exatly. Even the most hard core junkie types understand this. But the chief policy adviser to the president apparently didn’t.
Does that make you fear for the future of the USA? If it doesn’t, you aren’t awake. |

Does that make you fear for the future of the USA? Well, no, not particularly. After all, if he gets indicted, then it means he didn’t get away with it, and he’s going to trial.
Seems to me like that would show the system was working properly.
Just like it was when Clinton was disbarred. |

If you’re going to gamble, you might as well gamble big. If this pans out and Leopold is right, he’ll be the toast of political chatterers everywhere.
And he was correct on the Scooter Libby indictment ... |
