Eh? I didn’t play the race card. I was deeply disturbed to find out that I’m apparently a racist because I think Bonds is an a**hole, and I thought I’d warn McQ about it. And it’s usually not Bonds who’s playing the race card; it’s usually guilt-ridden white liberals and black racebaiters.

I did not mean to imply that, only that you played the card. By doing that, you probably would make people think of race, where otherwise they wouldn’t.

Actually, I was thinking of how many other records have been broken, with the use of enhancement drugs in this age of "Better living through Chemistry."

Hmmm. We seem to be talking past each other. The part about racism refers to the various talking heads I’ve seen on TV, not you.

I guess you’ve missed the numerous debates on TV and radio these past few weeks (months?). The card was in play long before my first comment here. Of course, I think it’s a bunch of nonsense just like you do.

I’m not sure how you reach that conclusion, Wulf ... I obviously care about things I give space.

For instance, the Spears story wasn’t really about Spears. I just seemed so breathless and condemning over, well, nothing. A woman stumbles while holding her baby and it is carried by Forbes?

Bonds? I’m a huge baseball fan. I don’t do baseball on the blog because, well, we’re not a sports blog. But I felt the necessity to point out that I don’t particularly put much stock in the Bonds record (or tied record at this point. If ever there was a guy who deserved an asterisk by his name, that’s the man.

I don’t get it.
