Is there a consensus that it’s a funny word? My uncle doesn’t think it’s a funny word! Twelve Economics Nobel Prize winners don’t think it’s a funny word! There may have been a time in the Middle Ages in which it was definitely not a funny word! Twenty years ago, you were trying to convince us that it was a deeply unfunny word; which is it?

I find the term a bit (or more that just bit) hubristic. Seeing that "man" is an element of nature on this rock, just who empowered us judge our own impact on nature? Has anyone checked with the inhabitants of 70% percent of the earth? Didn’t think so.
BTW, How much time is being spent studying the impact of the primary greenhouse gas....water vapor? I mean, at least in part, it’s anthropogenic also.
