Many folks who've "seen the elephant" describe their experience in a war zone in those percentages. It's a bit of a joke of course, and not necessarily accurate, but conveys a point.
Max Borders has a fascinating interview with an former Marine sergeant who embedded himself with his old Marine reserve unit when it went to Iraq. Read it. In my estimation he pretty much tells it like it is. And he also adds some context and insight to the progress being made in Iraq and comments on the war's media coverage. Well worth the time to review.
Given all the references to "dessert" in the article, the Marines in question must have rolling around in tapioca pudding during most of their tour. Or something.
