Posted by: McQ on Monday, July 10, 2006 This past weekend I had the distinct honor and pleasure of attending the first reunion in my life I enjoyed. Did the high school thing and even the college one. Hated it. But this weekend I was able to see a bunch of buddies, in the truest sense of the word. Guys I served with for many years in the military. I hadn't seen many of them in 20 odd years. And this was the first time we'd all tried to get together. I had no idea how many would show up, but I figured 20 or 30 would be great. How about 140? We had 5 retired Major Generals there (former commanders of the unit) for heaven sake. So here, for your edification, is a picture of a group of those guys. It is always startling for me to see a picture like this and realize I'm getting so damn old. But this folks, is what your Vietnam generation now looks like.
Oh, and that's me in the red shirt. And for some fun, identify the 3 Ranger school grads in the picture. One is free - me. But find the other two. Number the people in the pic 1 thru 10 with 1 starting on the left. I'm 7, the shorter guy to my right is 8 and the taller guy 9. Answer below the fold. OK you can't look at this until you've put your guess in:
