Amen, I’ve been saying this from the beginning. Instead of being the Party of God (Hizb’Allah), they can be the State of God. Any territory they control militarily and from which they can launch patently military attacks (e.g., rocket bombardment) without the permission of any other sovereign body is by all rights a sovereign territory of theirs and should be treated as such.
This technically means they’re occupying Lebanese territory after siezing it in an act of aggression, and are engaging in total war against Israel. |

This is just a fig leaf to cover the Iraeli retreat. Hizb’Allah is still launching missiles from the border with Israel. The still hold the Israeli solders as prisoners. The Hizb’Allah ministers in the Lebanese government voted for the resolution because they know that they have just given Israel a black eye. The Israeli army has grown so soft pushing around poorly armed Palestinians that upon being faced with a well armed and trained military force they are left begging the French to cover their retreat. They have accomplished nothing from a security standpoint. They have destroyed the Lebanese middle class which was the real threat to Hizb’Allah.
Note that the Lebanese army is at least 30% Shiite. The French army is at least 30% anti-semite. Israel was safer before this action than it is now. Hizb’Allah is in better shape than ever. |

The Israeli army has grown so soft pushing around poorly armed Palestinians that upon being faced with a well armed and trained military force they are left begging the French to cover their retreat. If your intent was humor, this would be funny. Unfortunately, I know you mean it and that’s depressing. The IDF is soft? Wow. I mean just WOW. They show a modicum of restraint and you call them soft. What, pray tell, would you say about them if they had gone in and kicked A$$ to their full ability? I’m sure the terrorists are not sitting back thinking ’man the jooos are soft!’. |

meagain Some media reports from the IDF suggested that the IDF WAS some what under-prepared and under-equipped, the Reserve units at least. The Air FOrce has been sucking up a lOT of the Budget and between expensive aircraft and the Intifada the Reserve forces have NOT been training as much as they could have.
I thought I’d leave CindyB alone though, I mean the "pushing around" the Palestinians was well just too easy to attack and I decided no need to shoot fish in a barrel. |

The Hezbollah are signing on because Israel is retreating from Lebanon and Hezbollah gets to keep its rockets and now stands as the only Islamic army to win a war (really two wars, counting the last invasion) in the holy land since Saladin. Everybody loves a winner. People will be lining up to enlist. Its called consolidating your gains., or quitting while you are ahead. Think of it as prophet taking. ( pun intended ... expect protests.)
The other Arabs are signing on because they see the Shiites getting stronger the longer this goes on. They would rather see the Sunnis getting stronger but that isn’t what’s happening neither in Lebanon nor Iraq. |

The other Arabs are signing on because they see the Shiites getting stronger the longer this goes on. The Arabs are signing on for the same reason Hezbollah is ... Hezbollah has been getting torn up pretty badly and if they hope to retain a core of seasoned fighters at all, they need to get the Israelis out of Lebanon.
Firing unguided rockets isn’t necessarily a sign of strength elsewhere. Nor is bluff and bravado. We’ll see how it all plays out once Israel completes it’s withdrawal. |

Shark. You and Al Sharpston should hook up some time. When logic fails, you both start calling people names. Your methods are identical only his come off more intellegently because they rhyme.
Unlike you, I am an American with American interests at heart first and only. I am not anti-semetic nor anti-Israel. I am anti-islamofacist. But looking at the world through Fox News colored glasses doesn’t change reality. Until you look at things realistically from both sides you have no chance of fixing them.
By the way, there is alot of concern in the environmental circles that your namesake "Sharks" may become the next endangered species. They are a bit to aggressive and a bit to stupid to survive in the new millenia.

Hezbollah has been getting torn up pretty badly
You really need to check out this Blog IDF performance
Other posts point out that thus far, the IDF has only engaged the home defence forces (think viet cong) of Hezbollah. The main Hezbollah is still being held in reserve. |

Anyway, it’s quite interesting that you assume that an American Jew doesn’t have at their heart first and foremost American interests. Sounds a lot like that drivel I hear the left espousing more and more about the neocon/zionist alliance.
LMFAO, you just made my case for me. I calls them as I sees them cindy darling. And spare me your self-righteousness as I see you’re not too above the fray to go the insult route that you make a show of decrying.

Well with all the lebanese civilian casualties the hezbos have a smaller pool to recruit from. But I think they went a long way in demonstrating that an air campaign (unless it’s carpet bombing or napalm) isn’t an effective way to engage terrorist. |

Given that we’re dealing with a guerrilla warfare situation, how many of these casualties, are, in fact, civilian? |

I agree with Charles Krauthammer, Hezbo is the big winner, Israel loses again.
Olmert is a disaster. Having decided to do something militarily. Bush gave him waaaay more time than any other American President in the past. But they just sat on the border for days and days and tried to win on the cheap. What a waste. Better to have done nothing. Now Nasrallah is a hero and hezbollah will get better and more up to date arms and more recruits. How can grown men be so damn foolish? |

I see something slightly different. Most of the World and sadly the West have been conditioned into thinking that being killed 10 to 1 or more including being the cause of you friends, family, and children being blown to bits; guaranteeing yourself complete impoverishment for another 10 year cycle; and a baskin robbins choice of future asswhippings is winning. Israel will have flying cars and most of the Arab World will be sh**ing in buckets.
The future:
When extinction is on the line the darwinian advantage goes to Israel, a decent and moral people who exercise restraint but have the capability to vaporize their enemies. Should the need arise. Arab victories are just the other side not willing to sacrafice too much at this time. Arab ignorance and extremism will one day cost them everything. |

The french?!!!?? Please!
The only color they us from there flag is white. That is what they do best and they should stay out of major decisions; since, they can not do anything but try to negotiate with these people who do not negotiate.... They only understand death.... or victory!!! |
