Brian beat me to it. The Atlanta money is hedging. Any pro hedges when the race is expected to be close. Lobbyists are pros, lest we forget. No perception of influence, no earnings.

Educated guess as far as New Mexico is concerned. Look for the House to flip from Heather Wilson (R) to Patricia Madrid (D) this year. We’re all pretty tired of her Bush-hugging.
The Senate is contested by the democratic incumbent (Bingaman) this year, and the republican incumbent (Domenici) in 2008, so assuming a re-elect on the one and an ousting of the other, New Mexico votes democrat starting in 2008.

Gil - Bush’s Open Borders for his Fatcat Cronies has made Texas, California, Nevada, and New Mexico majority Hispanic.
Hope the money was worth it for the Bushies, because the days when a Republican could win in Nevada or New Mexico are just about over...as demographically lost as California.

As for the Lobbyists, they pretty much know it is over for the Bush Corporatists...so time to issue new tickets to the feeding trough, ease enraged well-glutted Boars like Hastert and Burns out of the way, and put in the swill the Democrats will gobble up.
