Meanwhile in the fever swamps of the left
Posted by: McQ on Monday, October 23, 2006

Of course all I really need to say to solicit the knowing "ah" from a reader, is to point out that the fellow who wrote this is Jane Hamsher's co-blogger:
Gay Republicans are as bad as Nazi collaborators. They are working with the people who would outlaw and exterminate their own kind. And to any moral person, that would be an untenable position. They are not entitled to privacy. It's open season. I am going to be front and center enjoying every bit of the excruciating personal agony and political destruction that is going to rain down like fire from heaven on outed Republicans.
What's excruciating is to watch someone go to such lengths to rationalize acting exactly like the Nazi's he's condemning.

But then that's why they're called "moonbats" afterall.

"...exterminate their own kind."
I wonder if they ever work up the same indignation over the real exterminiation (abortion) of what would undoubtably be a hefty amoount of ’progressive’ voters?

C’mon, McQ. Trex never says he (she?) is going to inflict "excruciating personal agony and political destruction" himself, only that he is going to enjoy it happening. And, even if he were an active participant, while it wouldn’t be a nice thing to do, wouldn’t you agree that the world would have been better off if all the nazis did was inflict "excruciating personal agony political destruction"?

There were plenty of Nazis who didn’t personally inflict "excruciating personal agony political destruction", but they sure supported it, didn’t they?

BTW ... thanks for the "numbered list" you sent ... I’m trying to think of a creative way to use it.

from a committed Dem:

bleh. yuck. etc.

With friends like him, who needs enemies?

I mean, I can think that gay Republicans are idiots. But to claim that they are not entitled to privacy is to profoundly misunderstand (nice split infinitive) one of the important planks of the Democratic party.

I can’t say it any better.

I just wanted to weigh as one of the folks ostensibly on the left and disgusted with the spirit of the bloggery cited.

I agree, that kind of blogger doesn’t speak for the vast majority on the "left."

Not only is it really disgusting, but frankly there are a number of straight Republicans who are in favor of guy rights (especially here in more sane New England). To say gays who might favor the GOP on a variety of policy issues shouldn’t be in the party because of the religious conservatives is irrational.

This is a disgudting blog;
sort of on a par with the blog I saw a few months ago calling people in favor of stem cell research baby killers.

There’s plenty of muck around in every direction.

You do know that anybody can blog? No sanity requirements, as far as I know.

Sigh.

Stupid, obnoxious people with exaggerated and nasty rhetoric.

Um, of which the FDL link is a fine example, in case prior comment seemed ambiguous.

Everyone knows that Democrats are the party of inclusion and the Rethuglicans are all haters. Stupid homo. Let’s do him in blackface!

Hey, you guys keep it up (Laime, glasnost, etc) and you’re going to lose your union cards.

Still, it’s nice to be able to agree on some things once in a while.

glasnost,

I assume that now my contention that this kind of stuff does motivate many of these people is no longer all in my head, just mostly;^)?

One of the big reasons I can’t call myself a liberal anymore. Having to say "this doesn’t represent the left" on a daily basis in response to most moonbat beliefs like "sort of on a par with the blog I saw a few months ago calling people in favor of stem cell research baby killers" as if that comparison was even remotely sensible.
