A question
Posted by: McQ on Saturday, November 04, 2006

If you claimed that you botched a joke and never had any intention of impugning the intelligence of the troops, etc., why would you feature an editorial on your official web site which is entitled "Kerry's Remark: Right either way"?

Why wouldn't you just let it go?

OK, that's two questions.

You know, education, if you make the most of it, and you study hard, and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you become John Kerry.

A suicide wish? He just can’t stop proving what he really believes.

The premise of the intended joke was that Bush was a lazy student, and as a result he failed to see the obvious folly of confronting Iraq militarily.

Considering that:

1. Kerry voted for the war authorization,

2. Kerry had a lower grade point and IQ test ranking than Bush in college,

it seems to me that Kerry is not in the best type of house to be in when throwing these particular stones at Bush.

One answer; because John Kerry and his supporters are both fundamentally stupid.

Because Iraq is in shambles, Republicans’ approval ratings are in the cellar, and half of them are in the closet oppressing those who aren’t.

Oh, you mean why wouldn’t Kerry let the matter go? I don’t know, but considering he is not running for anything, who cares?

No not anymore he isn’t...but BEFORE this he was Mk...unless you’re going toget all "technical" in which case NO ONE is running for ’08.

"Why wouldn’t you just let it go?"

Stupidity, bad judgement, extreme vanity which makes him unable to even consider appearing to be wrong, etc.

" I’m not gonna say it...."

Oh, go on and say it. You know you will feel better.

Right either way - I guess that makes him a liar then?

"Why wouldn’t you just let it go?"

Well, that doesn’t seem 100% rhetorical so, for me, I think it is just a surreptitious nod and wink to the base that he really meant it and knew this would put smiles on all their faces.

Because Kerry was for the joke before he was against it...he’s flip-flopped on everything else, why not his "botched joke" story too?

"Why wouldn’t you just let it go?"

If for no other reason, it’s good for a hearty laugh.

But it also reveals how Dem leaders make it a habit of covering up what they truly think. Kerry in his ridiculous nuance lets slip this veil of lies. And as long as he keeps reacting anew to dig his hole deeper, we’re going to keep noticing, laughing, and confirming what it is you guys stand for.
