Welcome Aboard!
Posted by: Dale Franks on Monday, January 15, 2007

With Jon's new job with the Republican Senate Leader's office, he will be unable to blog regularly. As a result, we have decided to enlarge our stable of bloggers.

To that end, we will be joined first by Bryan Pick. Bryan is a long-time commenter here at QandO, and he also was the proofreader for The New Libertarian when we were publishing it. I'll let Bryan introduce himself in his own way, but Jon, Bruce, and I believe you'll find him an interesting addition to our stable of bloggers.

We have one other invitation out, but we haven't heard back from that invitation yet. If it is accepted, we believe you'll find it another very valuable addition to the crew.

UPDATE [McQ]: Well we got the second acceptance so please welcome Billy Hollis to QandO. Billy, we look forward to your future posts and we're very glad to have you on the blog.

UPDATE [Dale]: For those of you who don't know, Billy is an internationally recognized expert on .Net programming, and the author of several programming books from Wrox Press. Perhaps, if we're lucky, along with the politics, he'll throw in some tech items here and there that will no doubt be far superior to my little offerings.

Unfortunately for me, the downside of having Billy post here is that our blogging platform is the one I designed, .Blog, and he will have to use it every time he posts. As a programmer far senior to me, he will no doubt come across any number of horrific errors, and expose me to hideous shame.

Thanks for the welcome, Dale. I’ll introduce myself in a bit; today has been an overwhelming day for a number of reasons.

A warm welcome to Billy Hollis as well!

Lance - Perhaps in four months, it will have a life to take over. In the interim, it’s going to have scraps.

Thanks for the kinds words from everyone. This ought to be quite a ride.

And Dale doesn’t really have to worry about my critiques of .Blog. Being a smart client UI specialist, I’m amazed that browser-based applications work at all. When it comes to stuff like DHTML, I don’t have a clue.

Congrats to the newbies ;-)

Does this mean Billy and Dale have agreed to end the debate of one dash or two?

Wrong Billy, meagain. You’re thinking of Billy Beck.
