Hateful, polarized blogosphere?
Posted by: McQ on Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Yup. That's according to a collection of network correspondents and Tony Snow. Think Progress brings us up to speed:
NBC News’ David Gregory bemoaned how political coverage has “become so polarized in this country…because it’s the internet and the blogs that have really used this White House press conferences to somehow support positions out in America, political views.” Tony Snow admitted he sometimes reads blogs (”I’ll occasionally punch it up”) only to find “wonderful, imaginative hateful stuff that comes flying out.”
Heh ... you have to wonder where these people have been for the last 20 years. Blogs aren't the reason that political coverage has "become so polaraized in this country", they're the result. The reason for such polarization lies with the political and journalistic class in this country. And leave it to the journalists to try to shift the blame.

In other words, mainstream media types are "shocked, shocked to find that polarization is going on in this society."

David "Diva" Gregory has some nerve blaming anyone else for hateful, polarized political coverage...Howard K. Stern has more credibility than this clown

Hmmm, I think Tony Snow deserves a little push-back for those comments. We should respectfully send him links to say 10 blogs which are not "hateful"

Well, at least Snow said you were "wonderful imaginative...". That must count for something. One of your problems is that you pajama-clad-poseurs don’t give serious and continued coverage to important events or people, like Nicole(Smith or Richie). I wonder what Snow thinks of the remarks of his former compadre Britt Hume about Murtha.

I’m sure Snow would diplomatically not say anything about it at all...
