8 contemporary nightly-news talking points are sufficient to fully inform the American audience of a 1400 year old feud. Mission Accomplished. Now someone needs to inform John Murtha that Kurds are Sunnis...but that would probably blow up his already deranged mind. |

What hidden point? The question starts with the Sunni Al Qaeda, then proceeds to Hezbollah, Iran, and the al Mahdi militia (i.e. al Sadr’s army) in Iraq.
I read it as "A Sunni organization started our WOT campaign, yet here we are with these Shiites"
Then we get another Sunni question — The Taliban (in Afghanistan where we "should be focused")
Al Sadr question (again — isn’t this a repeat from the al Mahdi army?)
Then back to the Sunnis — hey, what do you know? Look at where the Sunnis are — Saudi Arabia and Pakistan!

I bring this up because I see those who oppose the war in Iraq as repeatedly critisizing the US alliances with SA and Pakistan since they are Sunni.
Why didn’t the poll ask about Saddam? Or the Kurds? Or the muslims in the former Yugoslavia?

In other words, look at the only Sunnis listed: al Qaeda, Taliban, SA, Pakistan
Then look at the only Shiites listed: Hezbollah, Iran, and al Sadr (twice)
