Polygamy by a Republican’s great-great grandfather is BAD.
Adultery, sexual harassement and intern diddling by a Democrat President = Acceptable.
Just for those keeping score at home. |

Look, I’m not particularly a Romney fan (to changeable in my estimation) nor do I think he’ll win the Republican nomination... At this point, basically on gut instinct, I lean toward Romney over McCain or Giuliani. My sense is that Romney is a pragmatic businessman at heart.
At the moment, he is saying all the the socially conservative platitudes that any Republican has to say in order to keep the Religious Right from withholding support, or God forbid, campaigning against him. I don’t really hold that against him.
I don’t like McCain.
I don’t know enough about Giuliani’s vision of government, but for some reason he sets of the klaxons on my BS detector just by walking onto a stage.
I don’t think that either Hillary or Obama would do too much damage as President, but Hillary would bring that whole sleazy Clinton machine back into the White House. If she wins, will she return the White House furniture?
I think any of the Republican candidates would be better than either Hillary or Obama, so I have to root for Hillary since she will probably lose to any of the Repugs in a general election.
Edwards would be a disaster. |

Ironically, Romney’s he only GOP candidate of the three majors who has had only one wife. That’s classic Diffus. Classic. But let’s not let the real details into this. Romney is bad because 100 years ago, his ancestors practiced some questionable marriage practices. |

My sense is that Romney is a pragmatic businessman at heart. Like George W.? I’d really like to think we can do better than that.
But then, looking over the other candidates, maybe not.
It’s going to be a long campaign... |

I wanted to leave a comment for the AP writers but, alas, no comments. I think they should do a follow-up on the 53 year old Mohammed marrying 6 year old Aisha. Being the gentleman that he was he waited until she was 9 years old to consummate the marriage. You know, somehow I don’t think they’re as critical of Islam as they are of Mormanism. |

You know, somehow I don’t think they’re as critical of Islam as they are of Mormanism. Because the Morman’s really don’t care what the AP thinks. Now the radical Muslims... whoooo weeeeee, they’d open up a can of jihadi whoop a$$ is they read something like that... |

"...But ...how is it none of this was ever mentioned when Mitt’s father George ran for the presidency in 1968? Was it because he was adamantly against the Vietnam War, and therefore a far preferable choice to Richard Nixon — at least in the eyes of our watchdog media? And how often was Mo Udall’s Mormonism mentioned when he ran for president? Didn’t his great-great grandparents practice polygamy? But our one party media are experts at selective and timely outrage." This from a tabloid piece on Obama’s father which draws from the same well as the Romney article. |
