Posted by: McQ on Friday, March 23, 2007 Well I'm just not going to do it. I'm instead going to point you toward an excellent analysis which Michael Wade has done over at A Second Hand Conjecture. As he points out, it's all about power and who gets to wield it and there are interesting arguments on both side. At this point I'm not at all that interested in the kerfuffle since as far as I can tell, there's been nothing illegal done to this point. However, I will note that I see this as the opening salvo in the expected and much anticipated (and possibly self-defeating) round of Democrat Congressional investigations for the very reason Michael Wade discusses: because they have the power to do so. |
