Great podcast, gentlemen.

The spendthrift Republican 109th Congress contributed to the disenchantment with conservatism because of their hubris: they allied themselves with K Street in the belief that their majority was going to be permanent. As soon as they believed their electoral success was going to be permanent, the corruption set in.

Both parties are doing everything they can to increase neo-libertarian numbers.

Hillary can talk all she wants about universal health care, but I doubt the system will change. Oh sure, Uncle Sam will pick up the tab, but the health care system as a whole will be largely unchanged.

At the heart of the problem is this: every health care dollar that’s misspent goes to someone. And that someone will spend 90-95 cents out of that dollar to make sure it keeps coming in.

Assuming Hillary’s elected, you can look forward to paying a lot more in taxes to support a health care system that looks eerily like today’s.
