Iranian weapons killing Americans
Posted by: McQ on Thursday, May 10, 2007

There's a great, exclusive video on PajamasMedia with a Major of EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) which explains some important questions:
Twice before the military has tried to present to the press overwhelming evidence of Iran’s involvement in the Iraq war, only to be met by hostile skepticism. The skepticism basically takes the form of three questions:

1) Couldn’t these weapons have been made anywhere?

2) Isn’t it fishy that these weapons were marked in English with American-style dates?

3) Isn’t all of this a ploy to justify a neocon war with Iran?

As you will see from the video, Maj. Weber can definitively answer the first two questions. As for the Daily Kos-inspired third question, well, who can address questions from planet Paranoid? And who should bother?
Go watch the video here. It's well worth the 12 minutes.

But he works for the evil liars in the white house, why should i believe some crazy brainwashed violence hungry military person. I bet Cheney was on the other side of that camera with a gun pointed at him and cue cards for him to read. They lie anout everything else, why wouldn’t they lie about this in order to get into another illegal war just to give more money to halliburton!

So, having been burned badly once by believing the bad intel on Iraq... is it that bad of the media/government/citizens to have some skepticism on this?

Iran supplying weapons to "insurgents" is certainly believable... but I don’t think it’s out of line to approach this with a good deal of caution, given how over enthusiasm caused much of our current predicament.

I agree, but there is no over enthusiasm to go to war with Iran, only to embarrass them most likely. I truly doubt that unless Iran openly invades Iraq that will we go to war with them. Anything less would never been supported by the people.

Plain and simple we need to pull out of Iraq... they don’t want us there, WE don’t want us there, and we’ve done about all we can do for a country that is bound and determined to throw itself under the next dictator-train that comes along.

As far a invasion of Iraq is concerned: it served several purposes- A) it brought our military to a battlefield where we might actually be able to engage terrorists on our terms occassionally. B) it kept terrorists from acting on the taste of blood from the twin towers, beginning a campaign of blowing up coffee shops and public places right here in the U.S. [Our troops have bought us civilians precious safety with their blood, sweat, and tears. That is what they volunteered for btw - to put their lives on the line to protect us], and C) Saddam was taken from power, giving the Iraqi people the freedom of choice for their future.

We need to withdraw now and furthermore STAY OUT of their affairs!!! Let them build whatever society that they want to... friendly or not.
