We’re number 1, 2 and 3 in VA
Posted by: McQ on Friday, May 11, 2007

The Richmond Democrat Blog had declared its "Top 10" Virginia blogs and QandO did quite well apparently:
Well, it's been an interesting journey, hasn't it? There have been a few surprises along the way, hopefully not all of them unpleasant. But now we've reached the end of the road. It's time to announce the top 10 and let the chips fall where they may, don't you think?

Ah, but it's here in the top ten that we'll find the real surprise.

Well, let's get on with it then. The top 10 political blogs in Virginia are:

10. Bearing Drift

9. Waldo Jaquith

8. NOVA Townhall Blog

7. Below The Beltway

6. Not Larry Sabato

5. Extreme Mortman

4. Raising Kaine

3. QandO

1. QandO

No, that's not a typo you see: QandO is the top three political blogs in Virginia. I couldn't think of a more straightforward way of communicating the tremendous amount of "blog mojo" this site has acquired. I found that even after I had divided QandO's "blog mojo" by three, each third still had more than its nearest competitor.

Apparently Jon Henke's position as the New Media Director for the Republican Communications Office has transformed his old blog from a thoroughly respectable first-tier state blog into a rising national blog. While Henke no longer blogs at QandO it must be acknowledged that his partners—Bryan Pick and Billy Hollis—have carried QandO forward, building it into a powerhouse blog.

Congratulations Mssrs. Henke, Pick and Hollis!
Indeed! Way to go guys!

Boy, if I get that much credit before I’ve really done anything (besides stirring the comment sections)... I wonder what’s going to happen in a week and a half, when I start hitting the front page again.

ALTERNATIVELY, you should keep the same strategy, after all it made you all 1-3 in Va. If you CHANGE, and the numbers decline, they can blame you...just keep commenting, it’s a safer career move.

And congratulations to all you QandO folks....remember McQ, "They also serve who stand and wait."

What McQ doesn’t know is that I secretly reprogrammed the blog engine to tell web spiders that Bryan and I write all the posts. Pretty good joke, huh?

Sound better McQ?
Heh ... thanks, but I appreciate the fact that the blog was recognized. I was having a bit of fun with the latter part. Appreciate your work and love the outcome.

What? Where are the obligatory thanks to all the little people who made this possible?

¡Felicitaciones QandO! Esto es como el nombramiento el miembro más hermoso en la reunión de la familia de Wolfowitz, o el miembro más diplomático de la casa de Cheney. Igualar quizá la mayoría del downhome del clan de Bush. ¡Verdad pozo merecido!
