OK, that wasn’t too bad
Posted by: McQ on Monday, May 14, 2007

I did my first "Someone You Should Know" segment on WRKO 680am out of Boston on Sunday night. It aired at 9pm on Pundit Review Radio hosted by Kevin Whalen and Gregg Jackson (the show runs from 7 to 10 and can be heard live via the net at wrko.com). It's a very interesting show which is focused on the new media and includes interviews with a good number of interesting guests and bloggers too ... not that they're mutually exclusive or anything, you know, interesting guests, er, bloggers, um, ah forget it.

Anyway, it went better than I expected and I had a great time talking with Kevin and Gregg about politics as well. If you're so inclined, you can listen to the "Someone You Should Know" segment here. I wrote about the remarkable story of Kanaan Merriken earlier on QandO, and did an expanded version for the show. If you read the QandO post about Merriken, be sure to scroll down and read the comments he left on the post as well.

A tip of the hat to Matt Burden of Blackfive for thinking of me when he decided he had to turn over the segment to someone else due to his increasing responsiblities. Old paratroopers just naturally hang together I guess ... no pun intended. And it is truly an honor for me to be able to tell the stories of our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen who are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan to a wider audience.

All the way, McQ. Can’t think of a better replacement for Matt on this segment.

I heard you Sunday night and you were excellent. You sounded as though you had been on air for a long time...very relaxed and interesting. Keep up the good work.
