In his questions, this interviewer implies every assumption the left (in Europe and America) has about foreign policy. But don’t claim he’s on the left. Oh, no! He "is neither left nor right", in his own words.
Thankfully, Bolton put him in his place and called him on that BS. I wish American politicians on the right would do the same to the media here. |

John Humphries is a presenter on the Today programme on Radio 4, probably the most important political discussion show of any medium in the UK. If you haven’t been on it, you’re not in British politics. The presenters routinely take a devil’s advocate stance in order to provoke the most animated responses from the interviewees. The real point is that the Bush administration has been incompetent; whether they were right or wrong is really irrelevant. If an organization cannot act with efficiency it should refrain from action as such action can only make things worse.
