The Market is Speaking? Posted by: Dale Franks

If you were to mosey on over to intrade.com, and take a look at the 2008 Election Market, you'd see that the last price on a Fred Thompson contract to win the GOP Nomination is at 31.5. He's followed closely by Rudy Giuliani at 30. Romney is at 21, and bringing up the rear of the candidates who actually have a shot is John McCain, cruising along with a contract priced at 8.5.
On the Democratic side, it shapes up as Clinton (49), Obama (29.8), Gore (10.8), and Edwards (5).
It's very far away from election time, of course, but it's interesting how it's shaping up on the markets.
