I skimmed it, I just didn’t see any "Crimes", listed, you know the BASIS for this slam dunk impeachment? Are those "obvious" or just listed else where? |

I particularly liked this: On the other hand, news media of the time hadn’t been taken over by a Right Wing Echo Chamber that distorts nearly everything the public hears. |

I thought this, in the comments was rich. Someone named biwah, although acknowledging Cheney’s evilness, disagreed with pursuing impeachment. This was the response from Maha.biwah — Fine, you vote for giving up and letting the Constitution get flushed down the toilet, because Cheney is too smart and too mean and has wrapped himself in all manner of extra-constitutional legalisms so that Congress can’t touch him. But that’s the very reason impeachment is necessary. Don’t you get it? The case against Cheney is only weak now because the hard evidence is (we assume) being withheld behind “executive privilege.” Now if " The case against Cheney is only weak now because the hard evidence is (we assume) being withheld behind “executive privilege" isn’t Nifonesque I don’t know what is. Instead of borked it is being nifonged. Someone help me out. Who was it that not so long ago said said something to the effect that we must investigate primarily because of lack of evidence. |

No idea Tom, but I’m just laughing my ass off over the whole "We can’t find any evidence, so he MUST be guilty" thing. |

All that ramble and not a single mention of Rove.....they’re getting slightly better. Now the single most evil mastermind is at least someone in the administration (Cheney)

I ran across an "open e-mail" to Sen. Boxer from one of these cranks, imploring her to please push for impeachment proceedings. Apparently BDS effects one’s ability to understand how impeachment is started, i.e. in the House of Reps.
The same guy says "it is my understanding that all that is required to begin impeachment proceedings is for the president or the vice president to have violated the public trust."
Where do they grow these people?
I love it where maha writes "What’s important to me is to make it clear beyond any shadow of doubt that they are wrong." (Emphasis maha’s.) I think that single sentence sums up the entire post. |

The same guy says "it is my understanding that all that is required to begin impeachment proceedings is for the president or the vice president to have violated the public trust." So this guy was 100% behind impeaching Clinton, right? |

At some point, and I think we are well past that bend in the road, you just shake your head and send pity and condolences. |

It reminds me of some conversations with my leftist friends. They almost all start like this:
"Well, since it’s obvious that Bush and Cheny have committed war crimes..." |
