And should your battery dies (in about 8 months for no effing reason other than the bike hates you), be ready for a minor bike teardown to get to the damned thing.

Seriously, HD treats it’s customers like Ford treated the american consumer. Like crap, and they had zero reason to improve.
"It’s a Harley". Men’s eyes water, they get this wistful look on their face, and they want to get one. Forget the stories, they want one, and HD can’t be that bad...
Once people stop buying their bikes, they will realize they have made a mistake.

As my father just said: "Why the hell would Honda buy Harley?"
Honda and the other bike-makers not in the US (ok, that’s everyone but HD) are making huge inroads here with sales. It is, as I said, what happened to Ford. People bought and bough and bough ’American’ because it was the "right thing to do" and made you "cool", until people figured out that them japanese were making a car that was far and away the superior automobile.
Honda and BMW and Yamamha could just sit and wait 3 years for Harley to go under, and loot the corpse. |

In the last 10 years, Harley-Davidson stock prices have gone from 10 to 60. Earnings growth is projected to be between 11% and 17% over the next year. Stock Scouter rates HOG as a 9 out of 10. Institutions are buying the stock heavily.
It sounds like you haven’t been keeping up with current events. |
