I wonder if the Cheney-is-The-Antichrist crowd will treat this event as primitive tribes treated an eclipse. Fear and trembling and all sorts of chanting to ward off the end of the world, then rejoicing as things return to a normal (though still evil, corrupt, etc.) state. |

actually, what would be really funny would be for President Obama, in July 2009, to deliver Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld to the Hague for a war crimes trial.
I think it would be hilarious—but terribly, terribly wrong, of course. Oh, the wailing and gnashing of teeth that would follow that move...
